2024 - Season - Remember the Titans (Ready 8/24)
Re: 2024 - Season - Go Time! (Ready 7/25)
So another question. Just because I want to know how this works.
I turned off 7-day Lineups. But when I click on that link I make sure I paste the lineups for each day of the week. Now, that is based on projected starters granted my opponents don't change their starters.
On a sim, does my lineups come straight from my lineups I made, or does it use that 7-day lineup view that I see when I paste the lineup?
Or does it pull the lineup based on the matchup of pitcher and that's it?

If you turned off 7-day line-ups, then the system is only pulling from your LHP+DH and RHP+DH line-ups you've previously set on the main line-up screen (plus any substitution rules you set like "Start Every 3rd Game".cougnix wrote:So another question. Just because I want to know how this works.

Pasting the line-ups does nothing with 7-day off.
Re: 2024 - Season - Go Time! (Ready 7/25)
The Alcoholics start the season 0-10, but then finish the rest of April 6-10 (6-20 in April). May looks a bit better as they are 3-2 thus far.
2 rookies are on the DL at this point. SP John Lewis has 6 more weeks with his sprained ankle AND this week team AVG, SLG, OPS, VORP, HR, RBI, ISO and TB leader 3B Tad Wilcox goes down for 5 weeks with "shoulder bursitis". On a positive note, LF Nick Kendall is off the DL and on a rehab assignment in AAA for a week.
Next up we have 3 games @ SA (17-14) and 3 games @ Sheltown (23-8).

Team news for Washington:
Scott May Incur Fine for 'Childish Behavior'
WHAT? Since when have we ever had players fined? Can't wait to go home and read this email
Reign if you want to go into mine and tell me what it says, that'd be hilarious.

Third straight sim I lose a guy to injury. This guy sucks and was just a temporary fill-in but the previous two were important players for my shitty team.

Re: 2024 - Season - Go Time! (Ready 7/26)
Got our asses kicked that sim.
I swear about 1 out 5 of my export don't seem to go through
(not at all why we sucked, just saying)

Generals drop 2 of 3 to the Alcoholics, then take 2 of 3 from Thunder Crabs. Hanging around with a 20-17 record.
Cruz nabs hit #2500 with a double in the series finale against Washington. This after a 3 double, 4 RBI game in the finale against Houston.
Esteben Rey and Pablo Garcia are the only 2 NL starters that haven't allowed a HR yet.
Bullpen is dominant, starters besides Rey are terrible.
Offense continues to struggle besides Higgy and C Chris Thomas.

I hate injuries in this game. of course I understand them. some of these guys just seem like such pussies.

Re: 2024 - Season - Go Time! (Ready 7/26)
as much as we think its just the game, it happens in real life too we just dont sit there tracking it. I can name on both hands and feet the jays injuries this year and im sure every other team has gone thru em. Yankees have 70ish mil of their salary on the DL at one point (sure jeter/arod were big, but tex/grandy at one point among others). its baseball, the grind of 162 games in 5-6 months gets to players.ajalves wrote:I hate injuries in this game. of course I understand them. some of these guys just seem like such pussies.

Dillonvale Starting Pitcher Hurt
We took 2 of 3 from the Phoenix Purple Cobras and only 1 of 3 from the Philly Cheesesteaks.
My SP Everett Gill has a Torn Rotator Cuff and is gone for 5-6 months.

My SS got hurt last sim, so I call a guy up from AAA and he gets a Partially Torn Labrum and is out for 3 months.

On a positive note, C Orinosuke Motsuzuki got the NL Player of the week honors.
He had 12 hits in 22 at-bats and 4 home runs with a .545 average. He also knocked in 5 runs and scored 4 times.
Up next we have a 3 game series @ the Washington Thunder Crabs and then a 3 game series vs the Cincinnati Titans.
