While that looks good, I wonder if it would be street legal here?
Wondering how it would be in an accident.

Re: Pimp your ride thread
Well, I finally got around to picking out the new rims. Funny enough, I went in looking for the exact rims (above) that I initially posted, the gunmetal TSW Nurburgrings, but ended up going with another option. Similar concept though. I was looking for a mesh style, with a deep concave to it, though I knew I was going to be limited because the G8 and GTO use higher offsets. (as well as the Camaro and CTSV)ReignOnU wrote:That reminds me, I need to get some pics up here. I haven't started messing with the bolt-ons yet, because I haven't sold my Jeep. I finally got around to putting it on Auto Trader a few days ago. But I jacked the price up to see if a sucker comes along. Not in a rush right now.
Factory rims are one of the few cosmetic items I may change. I read that Enkei made the stock rims that are on it (unverified). Personally, I'm not a huge fan of the stocks. I want to go with a gun metal setup.. something like these:Spoiler!
I ended up ordering the Niche Targas in Anthracite (M129). (Below in spoiler w/pic of my car) Every picture I saw with all black rims on the Metallic Grey G8s didn't seem right, so I wanted to find something that was a bit lighter. I think the Anthracite is going to work perfect. I'm just a bit concerned about the fitments because a few places I was talking with were all shaky on their assurances of which offsets / widths I could run. I'm making a bit of a risk here, going with 20x8.5 on the front, wrapped in 245x35s, and 20x10 on the back, with 275x30s. I've already reached out to 2 guys that have fender rollers and lifts if I need to go that route. Both of them told me I'd have to do the work myself though, which I don't mind.
Hopefully it all works, because I think it will look great if I can pull it off.
Spoiler!

Its speedometer goes up like most cars tachometer goes up!
He goes from 60 MPH to about 160 MPH in like 9 seconds.

That could make you nut your pants in a jiffy.
Re: Pimp your ride thread
looks like fun. I'd love to get behind the wheel of that thing. I can't believe it is an auto though. Don't get me wrong the new auto's are pretty bad ass but an exotic should be a standard.

No real need with the paddle shifters and that power. That's the best of both worlds.

I had a 200 convertible this week in san diego. Not only is it the most unmanliest car on the planet, but it's gutless, ugly, and there is no way to man up behind the wheel of that bitch mobile.

Re: Pimp your ride thread
Did you take them off or did you just do the spray and cover deal?
Re: Pimp your ride thread
Thanks guys. I took them off and did two at a time. I sprayed four coats of the black and two of the glossifier on each wheel I also painted my brake calipers.

@ Tfan - ... 200 sounds like the new Sebring... the ultimate in unmanliness
........
I haven't had time to take many pics of my car with the new rims on it... I think it looks great though.

They do look really good. Those wheels in that color are perfect for your car.
