And stop with "if I did it at my work" shit, nothing outside of sports compares. Should lynch get fined, yes I yell at my kids/players all the time for displays that aren't the same as Lynch but in the same category. And nothing compares to Griffens "joking with a friend".

There's a difference between doing random things that could get you fired, and then doing something that could get you not only fired, but possibly arrested, if you did it at the wrong place/time.

hey, rocket man......that's exactly what I am saying. They are "cheating" within my acceptable margins

Yeah... I'm with AJ on this one.

Think of the example they're setting for your children! ;)

Bill Belichick just shit all over the league and it is glorious. Twisting it against the NFL is fucking genius. 'We're not trying to compromise the game, we're trying to protect the integrity of the game by following the rules to the letter."

Amazing.

I agree, when you have so much to look forward to and after that many chances, it's absurd to keep blowing it.

But...a 1 year ban for alcohol? That's pretty outrageous. I'm sure it's all collectively bargained or whatever, so the players can't complain too much about it, but I can

Surely not even you can argue the validity of the ban. This is all on Gordon.

I'm arguing the validity of the rule. It's stupid. Hell, we're gonna look back in 10 or so years and think, man that was really stupid that weed was ever illegal, and all 413 of his failed drug tests will be for stuff that will eventually be legal.

But within the construct of the rules, of course it's stupid.

This is a willing participation sport. The fact he can't play put himself in a position to participate is beyond me. Rules have been payed out, multiple chances given and rules reexplained to him.

To your point above....You know they make cars that go over 180mph but have speed limits set way below that. Does tthis mean 100 years from now we will probably have roads that allow people to drive 180?

This would be valid if some states already allowed us to drive 180

You can do that in Germany. And other places. But niot here. You can smoke weed in various states but not in the nfl. You can drink anytime you want when you are of age, but can't drive. The fact is he's broken established rules while on probation. If you do that when you are on probation\parole in the real world you go back to jail.

Other than the fact you like to debate, I don't see how you can even approach this with anything other than disbelief at his stupidity.

Why alcohol? Was he on a list that makes you be straight edge? He's proven he's a moron time and time again but why are they testing him for alcohol? NyQuil on banned list too?

The NFL is a business and the players, coaches, and everybody else are employees. Just like any other business they are entitled to make reasonable guidelines that their employees must follow in order to maintain their employment.

I agree.

Do you agree with every single guideline and rule the school you work for has? I'd be surprised if any of us agree with every single policy with our company.

I was intentionally extra concise in all of my first few posts, and somehow, the obvious stuff was still missed. :|

Yeah. I haven't run into one yet that isn't reasonable.
