Re: 2049 Season Thread-Minute to Win It!!!
Doc, you are here and more active a million times greater than some others....so let's stop with this pity train. I literally said guys that never post and never trade and never discuss drafts etc.... You just did all of that in 1 post.
I won't change my stance on this, regardless of hurting feelings....but hey, I don't make decisions so oh well. I would love several of the owners to be more active, but it's not going to happen. Not asking for X number of posts a day, but would it really be that difficult to make an appearance occasionally, to partake in the reason this league exists

Already cut the roster down. John Hill and Wilford Gunn will start the yr in the minors.

Honestly I am very happy with how the league is. I think most people are trading and everyone is exporting. All good in the hood.

Why is it that everytime there are needs by an organization, the rest of the league is also looking for those needs. Used to be that NOBODY had SP depth and you couldn't make a trade for a starter. I have John Murchie that has had a sub 4 ERA in almost all of his seasons in the league and nobody has an offer?

JJ Taylor laughs at John Murchie.
Re: 2049 Season Thread-Minute to Win It!!!
If I didn't have an idiot as an owner I would love to laugh with JJ in Seattle, but budget gets cut yearly, Moore takes a shit on team chemistry, and Hewitt asks for the moon, makes it tough to take on salary...Cnasty wrote:JJ Taylor laughs at John Murchie.

Re: 2049 Season Thread-Minute to Win It!!!
players in general don't seem to be as 'scarce' as they used to be. above average position players now used to be stars due to lack of SP depth
JJ Taylor would have been Big Cheese back in the day (he's still better than 96% of the league but you take my meaning)

Re: 2049 Season Thread-Minute to Win It!!!
yeah, if you look at the league last season, the top 15 teams, 14 of them has all blue SP pitching staffs.
Great SP are a dime a dozen now.

I don't disagree that we have more actually good SPs.Uuaww wrote:yeah, if you look at the league last season, the top 15 teams, 14 of them has all blue SP pitching staffs.

But I also don't think going by blues is the way to look at it. There are tons of vets rated 76 or 77 with decent to good numbers, and those same guys with the exact stats and even pitching ratings back in the day, but they never would have sniffed a blue overall rating.
