Exactly, the official didn't see him in his blind spot and turned into him. I'm not sure how you can "lol" thinking the ref bumped him then admit the ref accidentally bumped him.
you are very confusing...CP3 FOR sure intentionally shouldered him trying to convince it was an accident and was 100% in the wrong. Totally warranted an ejection after the situation.

I don't know that there will ever be a dunk contest as bad as this one for the rest of time.

At what point do the major sports stop with the "All-Star" events?

as well as all those commercial deals they get from when it airs.

Does the MLB still use their ASG for who gets home field advantage in the WS? That may be one way to get it back to more of a competitive exhibition than the garbage the NBA/NFL puts up yearly

The NBA All Star Game is fine IMO.

The 1st 3 quarters are an exhibition, which is fine because that is what it's meant to be for fun and to see some cool dunks and Steph Curry 40 foot 3 pointers.

But the 4th quarter, they get serious and play to win, so they have a nice mix. Saturday is usually solid too, but this dunk contest was just the most awful of all awful things.

Wanting to go to an even worse organization would be very on brand for Zion

But there's probably about 20 teams who could and likely would make a better offer than what the Knicks can offer.

Hard to imagine Julius Randle and Zion in the same lineup. I'd assume Randle would be heading back in a trade.

Less than zero chance New Orleans would take Randle in, he'd have to route to a 3rd team.

New Orleans has Ingram/McCollum/Valenciunas and a top 5 rookie in Herb Jones. It would be hilarious to want to go to a much worse organization and hand Zion, a mediocre Randle making $30 million a year and nothing else and barely any draft picks.

Herb Jones is good? I know I haven't watched the Pels since Zion hasn't been playing and everyone else has been hurt a lot, but I feel like I'm missing something. He's better than Cunningham, Mobley, Barnes, Green, Giddey, Suggs, Wagner, and even Cam Thomas?

To be fair, I feel like Julius Randle and Zion are pretty similar in what they offer. They are strong 4s, that have enough of a 3pt shot to be a reliable threat, they are good ball handlers and passers for their size and they both move well out of the pick and roll. They can both attack the basket well. The difference being Zion finishes better at the rim, while Randle finishes better around the rim. Neither is an great defender; I'd give a slight edge to Zion. I basically see Randle as what Zion is going to be long-term (similar to Blake Griffin as well, though Blake is a better defender than both)

He's definitely had a better rookie season than Cam Thomas. Giddy lately has overtaken him but he was better than Giddy for most of the season.

Jalen Green obviously has a much higher ceiling but Herb Jones has been much much better than him this season. Same for Suggs.

He won't get the credit because he's a rookie but based on virtually every defensive metric, he is an elite of the elite defensive wing. Last I checked, he is tasked with guarding the other team's best wing scorer more than any other player in the league, which is unheard of for a rookie, and he's doing an excellent job as well.

And he adds 10ppg and a solid 3pt shot.

Oh, so he's what Patrick Williams was supposed to be? Shane Battier light.

Zion has only played in 80 something games out of 200+ Pels games so far. How much of this injury recovery is to not hurt his brand for a max rookie deal?

Still say the Pels took the wrong guy at #1

The unconfirmed rumor is that Zion's camp wants him to play but the Pels want him to get a 2nd surgery.

Don't know if that is true but it fits with the theme of 3 seasons where we have what many hail as the best trainer in the NBA, and Zion's team basically hates everything he does and wants to do. Zion's team keeps wanting to rush him back when he's not 100% and completely out of shape. And honestly, the trainer's been proven right every step of the way with Zion being out of shape and often injured.

Zion's issue is he makes no decisions for himself, his stepdad is in complete control. This is the same Stepdad that took the podium to talk at Zion's Pelicans introductory press conference, so you know that's not a good thing
