Ok.. I get it now. That's some legit defense. Enjoyed watching that. (The Twitter guy does some good breakdowns too)

I had to look up his wingspan after watching those clips. Not only a solid +4", but he anticipates so well and ha really quick feet. Not a top 5 rookie, but I get why the Pels like him. Glue guy with playmakers like McCollum/Ingram. (Was very disappointed in Ingram settling for a 14' jumper on a pinched defense. IDC if it's open with his height, he had a corner and wing 3 available.)

Nets-Bucks had 14 total free throw attempts in the last 8 seconds, 17 in the past 14 seconds.

If that ain't an argument for the Elam ending.... Sheesh.

I'm all for it, but I'd want to see a little more room in it. Maybe +12 points after the first dead ball under 4min.

The final numbers on the end of that game. The final 21 seconds:

- 2 timeouts
- 33 substitutions
- 8 fouls
- 19 free throw attempts
- 1 field goal attempt
- 17 minutes real time

I watched the game last night and the effort the Lakers put out was absolutely pathetic. They average 14 TO's a game and they had 15 in the first half and I think the total for the game was 22 or 23, with Lebron and Westbrook having 8+ each.

Jefferies was commentating and he was talking about Vogel and how this isn't a coaching problem and he laid it directly at the veterans feet with their effort.

I know I've brought it up before with Lebron's whining to the refs but last night had to be an all time low with how much he was chirping the refs.

Also new reports last week where AD will miss additional time. He may miss the rest of the season or return with only 5 games left.

It really does seem Lebron has gone into F it mode, and the team has followed suit, plus is just terrible behind him. The Pelicans own the Lakers draft pick next season if it falls in the top 10, and they're teetering right around there, so their demise is extra important to me lol

I honestly don't see them turning it around this year. I've watched a lot of Lakers games just because they are usually the last game played in the night and it does not look like a team at all, just a bunch of individuals. Lebron said he wanted to stay in the NBA till his son makes it, I believe the earliest would be 3 years from now, and I just don't see how that is possible. He plays defense in spurts and at times he doesn't even look like he is involved on offense, seems to be passing more than taking control of the game. I'm sure he could physically play 3 more years baring some big injury during that time. It just looks like he is trying to solidify his legacy rather than win games. And I believe he is one of the top 5 players of all time hands down (MJ, Kareem, Black Mamba, Lebron would be my list but wouldn't be upset if someone had him as high as #2)

I got a hot take that even though he won a title, I think AD hurt his legacy more than helped it by demanding the trade and leaving to play with Lebron.

I just wish the knuckleheads here would admit that Ja was the best player in the draft that year. And it's not even close! I watch 70% of Memphis' games and it's just fun to watch this team. Young, hungry and talented. Baring stupid trades or FA, this is the team of the next 5-7 years, they could easily win 2 championships in that span. It'll probably be more championships than Zion makes the playoffs. I feel bad comparing him to Shawn Kemp now....he couldn't lace up Kemp's sneakers let alone being compared to him.....fatty!

No one argues against this based on health.

But when Zion plays, he's better than Ja. And we've only seen year 2 Zion, we haven't even gotten to see year 3 Zion improvements from year 2 like we are seeing for Morant.

As bad as the Pelicans have been and as good/improving as the Grizzlies have been over 3 seasons, the Pelicans with Zion on the court are STILL better than the Grizzlies with Ja on the court. That's not my opinion, that is factual. That is how much of a difference Zion makes, again, when he plays.

I still think it's funny that George made one of the worst hot takes in NDL history and is trying to luck into being correct.

I rarely get to watch an East Coast team play unless they play at West Coast team. I typically don't get on and watch NBA games until after the wife goes to bed. I really need to watch Chicago and Miami

I have not gotten to watch the last few Bulls games but I believe we are like 2-13 against teams over .600 and 0-3 vs Miami. I still think if we can ever be at full strength we can run with anyone but right now it seems we basically smoke bad teams, beat good teams and lose to the top level teams like the Heat.
