How so, generally interested.
Losing your spot as chairman of one of the most innovating companies we have seen in decades is not a big deal?

Re: Tesla Talk
'fly and die' is relative tho, the stock is literally in the same range it has been in for 2 years. 10%-20% moves here and there are normal fluctuations.Cnasty wrote:Come on, its fun to ride the rollercoaster and see the news make it fly and die!DRiccio21 wrote:watching the stock on daily basis is pointless
it hasn't had meaningful action in it since 2016, its just been in a huge range the last couple years. all noise
if you're a robot and don't let the emotions of the news effect you then sure. but unfortunately the news is what causes most 'weak hands' to be afraid/scared out of their positions then they buy back in when they 'think' its safe. and this is why 90% of individual investors lose all their money
never read the news or listen to any of this stuff.

Re: Tesla Talk
I think you are misinterpreting my reading of the news to make decisions versus using it entertainment value and joy to watch it manipulate the numbers.
Re: Tesla Talk
in terms of them going thru some short term transition bumps, then sure its worth talking about.Cnasty wrote:How so, generally interested.

but in terms of the company and the long term impact, no its not a big deal at all.
i guess i would need to hear more specific questions to give more detailed reply.

thats good then if you don't.
most people aren't that disciplined tho and they panic when they hear bad news and get greedy when they hear good news then they start following dudes on OOTP message boards touting alt coins.

I'd think the concern would be the potential for him to fuck up again in the future and receive bigger fines and bans.DRiccio21 wrote:in terms of them going thru some short term transition bumps, then sure its worth talking about.Cnasty wrote:How so, generally interested.

Is that really no concern whatsoever?

I can always count on Dave to make me smile about Tesla's future.
Re: Tesla Talk
the mkt is a liquidity mechanism.
guys like me who are managing money need places to park our capital. as long as there is free flowing capital and liquidity in the mkt then fund managers will continue to support innovative companies, like a tesla.
the issue becomes whether the mkt slows down and liquidity dries up (say from some unforseen economic event) before Tesla can be consistently profitable and be self sufficient and not need to go to the mkt for additional capital. if you need to go to the mkt to raise money in a secondary (sell additional shares to raise $ when you have debt obligations or some other need for $) in a mkt like 2008 then you're completely fucked cause there isn't as much free flowing capital to support that type of action in those conditions. but as long as the mkt is liquid, they'll keep going back to support Tesla, especially as its gaining mainstream traction. These 'news' events are how big funds take the 'weak money' (joe public) money and they continue to build their own positions in the name.
people, generally speaking, think wayyyyy to detailed when it comes to the mkt. think of it more like waves. if Tesla is as innovative as you or i might think it is, then its a Tsunami. there are major waves that come flying in, then periods of calm, then another major wave, etc. The tsunami lasts as long as the company continues to innovate and can keep growing earnings and revenues. In TSLA case they haven't even gone profitable yet so their major period of growth is possibly not even upon us yet (despite the fact its been up significantly every year its been a public company besides one year when it was down 10%).
also, this isn't any sort of recommendation to buy or sell, i don't like talking work stuff on here. just trying to help you guys understand from the other perspective

Re: Tesla Talk
Instantly followed Rivian, RJ and anything else to do with this beast on Twitter and Insta.
Not the prettiest looking exterior but love the interior, functionality, and hopefully push to make Elon release his sooner than later. Competition is excellent.
