I wasn't joking when I said lets try something different and I will give up my team and just be commish since this is the standard go to line around here.

Haha, I'm just messing around. We know what the true reason is. I am giving you a hard time. Your only problem is why haven't you been able to string together 5 in a row!!

Man I missed a lot. I got two things

1. I will trade with Corey any day of the week and the only question you should be asking yourself is how do I become better than Boston. I mean the 25 man team, fuck the farm. We will never match that and who cares because he can only roll out 25 at a time. I have talked with him for JJ and just think my best path to being better than him is keeping my guys and building but the next trade opportunity that comes up with him I will be happy to dive in to.

2. Damn right Ry, fan interest in this game is fucking dumb. I lost 8 points because reliever Brad Tubbs signed somewhere else. I have a young team stacked with potential stars coming off a playoff run and rocking a 57 interest. Fuck Brad Tubbs and fuck fan interest

To clarify my statement on why I didn't go after Taylor, there is a 0% chance that there is no other team that could truly benefit from having him.

Staying away from BOS is one part of it, and the way Boston prospects have turned out lately, I can understand having some reservations about that lol.

But the other thing, which we've talked about forever around here, the NDL as a whole values prospects and draft picks wayyyyyyy too much.

You say that, but look at my track record of trading prospects and what they've turned into...

Is JJ more valuable than 1 stud blue SP prospect? Absolutely! Does half the league disagree? Apparently so.

And on a side not Shel, prospects that hold ratings and draft picks should be viewed differently in this case...Corey targets high rated, most likely won't miss guys....just another reason we're hesitant. If he targeted that 4th rounder you got that OSA has a 61 but Corey's scout has as a 79, there'd be no problem in giving up those 2 or 3 guys. But why give up that 20 year old that's 2 seasons away and held his ratings the entire pro career? Not saying Boston only goes after those guys....but recent string of success has us all thinking it

Because you can get a guy who hits 40+ homers a year and that prospect can turn into Shane Brock, or Kyle Lee, or Miguel Rodriguez that we talked about today.

For 2-3 more seasons you get that production...maybe more, maybe less. Or that prospect turns into Dave Stevens, Munoz, Lindsey, Richard Todd. Tough call either way...

and that can happen. But it hasn't happened to corey. He hasn't missed on a guy in ages. If munoz/todd/marino etc. crashed we'd be looking at it differently but it hasn't happened. if he wants a guy from you, you should be celebrating... he's a LOCK to be a stud

Not hard when I posted the guys I have targeted have been 90% first round picks.

You act like I am asking for your 6th round picks and they become Marinos.

i dunno, rob does a pretty good job of it...

9 out of 10 1st rounders become Munoz, Todd, Marino like? Come on now....seriously look at the last 3 seasons first rounders. BUSTS EVERYWHERE

I just meant you can't make it out like all 1st rounders become stars. You target the ones that do....

I meant trading for those guys not drafting them.

After a couple years in the minors, their ratings have leveled off and they were top picks.

Marino and Munoz were IFAs and OSA had them off the charts.
