Over a soldier who lost their arm and leg

What a joke
Serious question: What soldier are you talking about and what is their role/part in the world of sports? I only ask because it appears (except in one case that I noted) ESPN feels there needs to be a very strong sports tie for the Arthur Ashe award recipient (the only ones I saw that weren't were the Flight 93 guys).

Seems like that girl who died of cancer recently but was able to play a couple of college basketball games before woulda had a good case.

wouldnt a former gold medalist changing sexes and getting ridiculed by people, and not caring, be the very definition of courage?

You can argue what is more courageous or should win this award or whatever, but Jenner is definitely being courageous here.

That said, I'd still give it to Lauren Hill a MILLION times before I'd give it to another attention-seeker from the Kardashian family. What a joke. As if the ESPY's weren't already enough of one already. Sorry, but there's nothing "courageous" about a celeb doing what he/she did.

Stuart Scott's daughters. Lauren Hill. The soldier. Numerous others deserve it way more.

I'd rather it go to Lauren Hill (posthumously) or the solider, but despite Bruce being a part of the Kardashian mess, it still took a lot of courage for him to do what he did. Regardless of any possible "motives"

Of course it took courage, that's obvious.

Getting worked up over ESPN's made up awards show that features categories such as "Outstanding Performance by a Sports Personality in a Commercial " is a joke.

Mike and Mike had a lead in today that had comments from different people on the Jenner situation... I believe one of the comments from Stephen A. Smith and hit probably nailed it...

Many of the people that are complaining about Jenner getting the award the reason why he's getting the award.

Bomani Jones said the same thing on Lebby's show yesterday.
