The rule is that it has to be within 30% of the highes guaranteed year. In this case the highest guaranteed year is year 1.
ok, i missed that part

The contract isn't against the rules... as to whether or not it's realistic or logical...

lol for a guy in a really super rule'd league, that deal would get you booted 10/10 times. But whatever, win at all costs

I think the contract rules need to be made tighter, tbh.

That said, until they are/if they are, can't really say anything about guys offering deals within them, even if they're not realistic. I blame the game's programmers for not putting in better AI.

You disagree that the programmers couldn't employ better AI to prevent players from demanding more guaranteed money and knowing that most teams won't honor a deal where, after the guaranteed years went down in cash, the last two years are options over $30m?

They did a great job with this game, but just like with the 10 yr/$15m contract situation, the AI could be a bit better to mimic real life mentality.

so because the game allows it, a 10 year 16 mill contract is in the best interest of the entire league? meaning if it allows it, there is "nothing we can do"?

dumb

Wait....what?

Where did I say that? I'm AGAINST these kinds of deals, and I think the AI should be fixed. I was responding to Baker mocking my post.....then again, Baker was just being a massive troll last night.

this is what im talking about.

What do you mean we cant really say anything? of course we can.

I mean Brwnbear was within the rules when he had 9 of the top 10 picks one year and you bring that up repeatedly

same type thing

I said the rules should be changed, but until they are I can't really say much about it.

Gabe was intentionally not signing picks, and I'm not the only person who has brought that up. It led to the rules being changed, and rightfully so. Hopefully these kinds of contracts lead to this rule being adjusted as well. That said, the game's AI shouldn't be allowed those kinds of deals anyways.

You've mentioned this about 5x... yet if I remember right, you still have a gmail address in there.
No one has ever said a word about using a gmail account. Funny I use same email for my other league and get email. But thanks for beingbeing a Dick once again.
Why does everyone complain so much about this email thing?? Are they really so great that it's worth posting everytime you don't get one within 10 min. of the sim? I'm just trying to get a handle on why its so important. Yeah I get emails every sim, but my email is blank when I open it up, so it doesn't accomplish anything, but i've never gotten an email that had anything in it, so maybe I don't know what i'm missing.
