I thought about buying an XBOX 1 and reselling it as I couldn't think of anything else really.
I saw just last week Best Buy dropped the price of the XBOX1 to $450 totally foiling my plan to buy and resell.

I can still do it but only at a marginal profit now I guess.

Unless anyone that has one thinks its worth keeping maybe in a game room or something and not as my main game system.
I'm happy with mine. I have mine in my living room tied into my audio video system. I walk in the house and say "xbox on. xbox watch tv" and then tell it what channel to turn to. I'm too lazy to even reach for the remote now.
I still use the ps4 for my gaming though.

A big negative is I don't have cable so wouldn't use it for TV at all really.

Do you know if the ESPN app and NFL apps on it require you to be plugged into cable or is it like when you go to a website and need to provide a cable provider sign in to work and not the actual cable to be plugged in?

So you only use it for TV? Would probably go in my bedroom for the time being.

I play titanfall and forza but play more on my ps4. It is a good system though. For the apps you just need verification not cable plugged in.

That is the worst shift known to man.

Yes corey, as oracle posted, you have to verify that you are a cable customer.
I really wish ESPN or HBOGo or any of those apps would offer a plan for those of us that are not a cable/satellite customer.
I bet they would make millions a year.
But I am sure the cable/satellite companies have some kind of law against this as it would take money from them.

Yeah, you can borrow an account and you should be fine.
I know HBOGo is out on PS3 and PS4 is supposed to be soon, but if you are a Comcast customer, they are not allowing their customers to use the Gaming console app on the PS3 or 4 at this time.

This sucks for me as my parents are Comcast customers and they do not use any apps, so I use their account info for any apps or anything I use.

I thought about a long-winded response, but chose this shorter one: the NFL will be fine. I dislike the current state of the NFL and do think that the game itself is declining. That is because of the NFL's prized possession: their anti-trust status. It is all they care about.

As such, the whole reason why the NFL will never have a shelf life is because of ... the fucking anti-trust exemption. Quite honestly, you can blame Donald Trump for all of the bullshit in the league right now. If he didn't wildly fuck up the NFL, the USFL would have either not "lost" their case versus the NFL or they would have flat-out won and we'd have a totally different world of football right now.

The implosion part is probably overstated, but the rest seems to be a possibility.

To me it is the quality of football that is being played on random nights. Some of the Thursday night games are awful match ups. Like Cleveland/Tampa etc......

EDIT: I also think the games being played in England are ridiculously stupid as well.

It definitely makes sense from the NFL's perspective.

Def agree with that. They will sell out big stadiums over there for Pittsburgh vs Minnesota where as out here not too many people are going to want to watch it on TV unless it's in a foreign country. I just think personally they are silly.

I hate that they call the Super Bowl Champions, World Champions.
None of the NFL teams play teams from other countries and it is not a world sport.

Now dunking on the goal posts after a TD is a penalty?!?

No fun league indeed!

I agree in theory, but I think there were a couple of instances of goalposts being messed up, and having to delay a couple of games for a bit to fix em, so that would make sense.

Jimmy Grahm bent one for sure as did Calvin Johnson I believe. If it delays the game it should certainly be a penalty.
