This is my favorite part of the Billy debate, especially with pitchers.
He wants you to explain it, but he thinks using overall rating, WAR, ERA, and FIP are all useless for SPs, so it's his sneaky way of being able to say his pitchers are just as good "just cause" with no real reason, while telling me I have no real reason to say mine are better.
And this is my favorite part of Shel's debate, he just keeps making stuff up. The only one of those I said sucked in this game is WAR and it does. Never said anything about the others.
Here is what matters to me:
ERA
Richmond 3.56
Sheltown 2.98
Runs Allowed
Richmond 165
Sheltown 150
This is with Reyes off to a a terrible start.
I do think overall is kinda worthless but since he mentioned it why did he not list those?
Richmond
78/69/56/54/47
Sheltown
77/67/57/51/33
Guess because I am rated higher at 4 of 5 of them

Ok. Let's run with that. Hillsboro's staff is better than yours. They're just off to a terrible start...

So I mentioned 4 stats. You think WAR is a waste, overall is worthless, and you know you've told me you don't know anything about FIP, so take that out as well.
So there's only 1 left, ERA. What exactly am I wrong about?
I didn't post Overall because everyone has different overall ratings.
Also, some of your numbers are flatly wrong, their totals, we're talking about starters.
So, Billy, the guy who just said above that I never give any reasons or explanations is now arguing a point where YOU are not giving ANY data to show our rotations are a push. I, on the other hand, have given plenty of data, just see above.
Step ya game up!!!

He wasn't as good as Bri Bry before his injury, and he's surely not as good as Bri post-injury with the big control hit he took.

I listed the overalls for SPs only based off OSA.
About FIP, I asked you what FIP was like 2 real life years ago and somehow that is the only thing I have ever said that you actually listened to and remembered lol

So...is there anything regarding production that suggests our rotations are a push?
Anything?

I think I still have a ton of conversations on Slack with Billy where he tells me he doesn't care about OVR!

In 43 games you have given up 150 runs, in 44 I have given up 165. That is a push to me
Now if you want to talk about how I have scored 56 more runs than you and that is why I am better we can do that as well.

Or you could just refer to my post 5 minutes ago when I said I think its worthless. I only listed that because Shel said something about overall

Obviously I'm not stating that. But saying you're pitching is better/push based on what Reyes COULD be doing is a bit....eh

To you, it's a push.
To me, it is moving the goalposts.

Going back to the start of 2055 since we're talking a smallish sample size this year. Make of it what you will, I'm not choosing sides just presenting a bigger picture
SHL: 3.09 ERA / 2.96 FIP / 3.35 xFIP
RCH: 3.33 ERA / 3.35 FIP / 3.31 xFIP
SHL: 8.34 K/9 / 2.14 BB/9
RCH: 8.79 K/9 / 2.36 BB/9

How is it moving the goalposts? Those are the stats I care about. Take all the other number and you want, I want to know how many runs my staff gives up and that is the answer
