That Jeep does not do it for me at all.

Gonna be my next car, I love the look of these big time!

Yeah after December I have one more year left on my car payment for my 2013 Charger but have enough money to just pay it all off which I might do. I really want a nice luxury two door coup. These ones are awesome.

Would compete with the likes of the Nissan Juke, Kia Soul and that size vehicle. Difference being is the off road capabilities it claims and better looking IMO than any of those. Also a little bigger engine with a 2.4 and nice interior.

In reading a bit about it there seems to be some emissions mandate for manufacturers to supply a minimum number of vehicles at a certain MPG rating or they get fined so Jeep tossed this one into their lineup with the Cherokee, Grand Cherokee, and Wrangler.

Gets 26/31 mpg.

Early reviews on that Jeep were pretty awesome... and quite a few Jeep guys really bought into it. I don't think the "hardcore" sector that gets into trails/rocks will love it, but there is a big sector of Jeep loyalists that love it. I'm not a huge fan, but I don't hate it either. I had a Jeep Liberty Renegade for 5-6 years and it was absolutely awesome.

I dont hate it either but not sure I would even fit comfortably in it.

Maybe I'll buzz Spydie and try it out for a year or 2 as the wife's driver as she needs some space with #2 coming in the Fall. The Grand Cherokees have gotten so expensive and taken off since I had mine 3 years ago.

Considering selling my 2010 C300 outright and just picking up a low payment lease. Not a huge fan of leases, but it would be nice to have the extra cash in hand for a little while in case we decide to buy a house down here when our lease is up.

Looking at Acura ILX at the moment, but only if the price is right. Test drove a 2015 accord sport, wasn't nearly as chincy as I figured it would be.

Negative on it working for #2.

I did a really good look at a bunch of vehicles for my wife, for our new addition and these smaller SUVs are a joke. I didn't think much about it until I went to look at a Cherokee Trailhawk. Inside it was really nice, then I popped open the rear end and it was brutal. I couldn't lay my golf clubs down in nearly any small SUV (Cherokee, Terrain, Edge, Escape, Santa Fe, Sportage, CRV). I ended up getting her a Dodge Journey R/T. It's perfect for 2 kids and up to 5 kids since it has the flip up 3rd row. It's pretty loaded with the nav, heated everything, dvd entertainment system and tons of storage areas (in seats and floorboards). The only downfall for it is that even though it has 3rd row, the 2nd row is kind of tight for adults. I initially thought it would be good for my golf trip to haul 4 guys and gear, but the 2nd row isn't very roomy. Other than that, it's a smaller-midsize SUV that is built on the Avenger platform. It drives like a car.

Loving my truck for 2 kids! :-)

Yea I love the Ram as the family vehicle as the inside is enormous and very luxurious for a truck. It is my daily driver.

I am not a fan at all of the Journey as they look like a shrunken mini van to me and luckily the wife dislikes it as well. She wants another Grand Cherokee but the price on those things lately are pretty up there and don't want to go up in price on a payment as I always stay lower or the same.

The smaller SUV will be for putzing around to Target and weekend trips. We both work less than 5 miles from our current place which is magnificent but will definitely change as the $600k-$2mil price range of houses where I work isn't gonna fit in the budget. :)

Well, makes sense, because the Journey's roots are as a mini-van. :-)

However, I don't tell my wife that.

Definitely check out the interior before buying, just because you might be surprised at how tight it is. My G8 offered far more storage and backseat room than most of those that I listed. If it's a situation where you're going to have 2 kids in the back and 1 larger (not umbrella) stroller for the littlest one, on top of getting more than a bag or 2 from Target, you're going to be pretty disappointed in them.

What do you think about the Durango? Cheaper than the Grand Cherokee, bigger than a Journey. I'm a little indifferent on it, because it almost seems too "low" or "slimmed" down from it's prior versions.

It will be a lot of measuring and testing for sure as even with the Charger now as a full sedan it isn't ideal for loading and size wise for 2 kids in the back seat.

I actually like the Durango but I agree with you as I preferred the previous model versus today's. I do enjoy the 3rd row option and the interiors are very comfortable and impressive. It would have to be built to my design as I like a certain form factor in wheels, interior, color combinations if you will.

Everything else in the compact SUV market is just ugly looking to me in terms of the Nissan Juke, Soul, Forester, and Escape.

Wife was really interested in that Jeep Renegade. She ended up going with the new Cherokee instead though. Has been a great vehicle so far.

Used it from Fort Worth to Arlington a couple weekends ago, about 20ish miles. Was like $17 or something absurd.

Used it in Atlanta. To and from the airport was like $50 via taxi, Uber was $28 ish.

The ride from the hotel to Phillips Arena for the Hawks game was something like 13 miles/20 minutes, and it cost around $13. Uber rules!!!

Love reviewing the ratings and tracking when they are coming and the type of car. Technology is amazing.

I had the Sc 430 back in he day. I bought it with 97k and sold it with 180k. That thing ran strong for a 91 luxury coupe. I'll see if I can find a pic. I loved that car.
