Zach Lavine out first two games for knee management because the entire offseason was not enough. Everything is fine here.

The NBA is pretty stupid in “rest management” as a whole and how organizations approach it.

Really taints a lot of the good things they have done lately to bring more fans in.

Shorten the season then.

I feel this way about NFL as well. Theres quite an obvious reason why Thursday night football is horrible, hardly any time for players to prepare for the next game and get healthy from the beating they took on Sunday

4 games then a bye week I feel would be great for better quality football/ player health

Training/game load is probably the most reliable indicator of injury, huge in things like powerlifting

NFL has been really bad in these primetime spots this year.
Just very bad football being played in a lot of games.

Completely agree with this. Hate the rest management in the league. You get a family that saved up all year and travels to see their favorite player play and then they are testing that fay

Pretty good play design by the grizzly at the end of four quarters. Oh boy just got there in time to take the charge

I may miss the numbers by a tad but Ryen Russillo did a whole thing on his podcast last year and 2 years ago the top 25 scorers in the NBA missed on average like 20 games a season and 10 years ago the average missed was like 7. It is pretty crazy. If players and organizations are saying these games don't matter so rest stars then why should fans think they matter? It just isn't good for the product.

Its become just the norm and has really watered down the game a bit and really needs to be looked at.

You will always have "rest" type games when you have such a long season like the MLB/NBA but money drives it all and the more games, more revenue, more opportunities for cash growth.

Annoying as hell as a fan but until a major change occurs, these good teams are going to utilize it consistently.

Zion has missed 2/3 of the games in his career and still has more points in the paint than every player in the NBA except for Giannis.

And Billy Doupis has more points outside the paint than him, and he was in Ukraine for a couple of years
