i think i finally just stopped saying "I see what you did there" in real life too much.....most of the time to people who had no idea what i was talking about but it still made me giggle for the past 6-12 months

I'm the same way, but in the end, if I laugh, it's all good. My students don't get half my jokes, but I keep on making them because I laugh. Good times.

There's facebook pages, twitter updates, flyers everywhere, and huge organized quadrant by quadrant searches in Bloomington and the surrounding counties. I was watching the news at lunch one day last week and they spent 10 minutes on the search coverage for the girl who had been missing for 4 days. Then immediately after that story the exact same news anchor gave a 30 second update on a 20 year black guy who'd been missing for 3 weeks! I'm not one to dwell on racial issues or inequalities but this was ridiculous.

It's been the same here; that girl's story has led the news down here every damn day; she gets a special segment on TWO America's Most Wanted episodes....and the minority children/teens get no coverage. Dave Chappelle hit it on point when he talked about it years ago, and shit hasn't changed a bit since.
