Exactly, the small awesome things were actually taken away.

I remember doing a stadium select for conference championships and how awesome that was.

Its like they totally ignore online every single year and not sure why considering how online gaming has taken off. I guess their base cliental is still more interested in creating fake high school players and dorm stuff.

Stadium select is what made NCAA 04 so awesome and what got people loving the leagues. You could select the bowl game you were in. I really do not fucking understand why they would have ever gotten rid of that feature in the first place. That and no night games is a total head scratcher.

game is good, the game play does appear to be quite improved.

they made adjustments to what they are already have-seems to me like a good thing. I do agree stadium select and weather are two components that make the experience a more unique real time experience as opposed to the nearly the same conditions each game. At least overall gameplay is improved and that alone is a good thing IMO.

I don't really get excited til I draft a team though. Right now just in limbo eagerly awaiting the draft order then I ll feel that buzz about who will I draft?

We used to be able to do this in 04 or 05 can't remember which.
you can play with weather and night games. I played a game last night in the fog at night. before you go online, start a single player game and select the weather and time that you want. exit out of that game and go online and invite somebody to play and you'll have those settings.
At least that was how it was explained to me.

I've only played one game but defense definitely seems to be improved. The way the players move is different and better as well. I played IU vs Purdue and lost 24-22. There was one instance of an LB levitating for an INT when he's 10 yards from the LOS late in the game which is probably one of the biggest things I hate about NCAA. They finally got IU's stadium addition and new scoreboard in the game which is great.

Anyone have troubles with custom playbooks online? Apparently there is a big glitch not addressed by the patch.

That would be the glitch! Somehow the developers completely missed this one before putting out the patch. Maybe they should TEST ONLINE PLAY as well before sending out a game.

I would make sure you have enough playbooks and formations in your CPB. I've run a couple games with mine and haven't had any problems. One thing you might check that in each formation the number of plays is a multiple of 3 for the play select screen.

unless we find the fountain of youth, the game will never be as addictive as it used to be.

i hope one day if i have little boys that they can get me addicted like i used to be, but its just not the same since i graduated college and had real world responsibilities.

we're just getting old. my fingers hurt just typing this, and i'm not even reaching for the shift key to capitalize anything.

I was just in RTG. I am a WR and we were down 7 with less than a minute and 25 yards out on 1st down. For whatever reason I was not on the field for 1st down and I hit skip until on field. My team punted on first down and gave the other team the ball back? WTF. Just a few plays before we were lined up to punt on another 1st down and luckily I was on the field we had 1 timeout so I called it to stop us from punting. Next play was normal pass play. Totally weird.

sounds right on the 3 plays cause i think so of them wasn't and i think one formation only had 1 play in it because of audible

how many formations would you advise

My playbook has 19 but I have maxed out the number of plays allowed. I imagine you could go probably as low as 15.
