there are guys who had multiple sub .500 teams in their top 25.
i mean if we don't give guys credit for 2 sentence recaps than we shouldn't give guys points for polls like that.

I HATE the fact that some guys are lazy and just submit a vote to get credit for it. Especially the last poll of the season.

For me AJ, it is just as Dave said, it is about the principle of it.

When I joined the NDL, I made a commitment to the league.
A commitment that I will do what is required of me and do it with diligence and integrity.
Maybe I am thinking into it too much.
I understand what you are saying, that if it didn't cost someone a bowl game or something, what is the big deal. I get that...
I understand that you gave the last 3 spots to guys you respect, I get that, I don't agree, but I don't expect everyone to agree in a 120 human owned league.

I can only speak for my self, but personally I take pride in things when I make a commitment to something.
Don't get me wrong, I am in no way saying I am better at anything than anyone else, but I will never fail at something due to effort.

When I was looking through the leagues on Leaguedaddy for something new, what made me want to be a part of this league was the effort that I saw being put forth by guys that were in this league.
I was in many pay leagues and the effort was no where near what it was here in the NDL.
When I found out this league was free, I wanted in even that much more.
To see guys with this kind of commitment and dedication to a free league, man, I want to be a part of that.

Sorry, back on subject, I do understand that we all have things in our lives that are far more important than a PS3 league. I completely understand. But to me, if you are going to take the time to vote, it only takes a few more minutes to do a little research and make that vote worth more than just dropping some names in and hitting submit.
And especially with the final vote that does have some implications on the outcome and situation for some teams.

And I was not trying to start a war or debate or call anyone out. Please, do not take anything I have said like that.
I just don't like seeing people do things with little effort, when I know it only takes a little more to do it better.

Everyone will vote how they want to vote. Who am I or anyone to question how someone votes? I'm not. They have there reasons. We have thrown out votes in the past where its obivous Coaches were just plucking teams in. Looking through the votes, while some you shake your head at, I dont think anyone was doing that.

With that said, you ll always have a few Coaches that just won't rank a Coach they have had a bad experience with, right, wrong, or indifferent. We, the NDL Admins, aren't going to go around and ask why did you vote this team over that team. Its not going to happen. If a whole vote is messed up, or it looks like they went right down the list, well then we will step in like we have in the past. Overall, I think everyone did a good job voting.

Looking forward to Season 23 myself, see if I can make it to a bowl next season....
