Pat Forde is a total piece of crap. He's right up there with Pete Thamel in regards to crap journalists. Shabazz's sister ripped him apart on Twitter, she bought him the thing as a gift and still has the receipt.

Don't forget, this guy has a sister who plays tennis as a pro, and an uncle who played in the NFL. I don't think he needs gifts from UCLA or adidas (although I'm sure he gets them anyways, but still), but Forde being Forde tries to start shit while acting like he was simply using it to make a segue from Shabazz's backback being classy to UCLA playing classy.

More top teams going down today. With all these losses by the supposed "elite" I'm starting to wonder if this year might the the year we see a #1 seed lose to a 16.

I honestly don't know how a Division 1 basketball team does this, and against EMU!
N. Illinois held to 4 points in 1st half

Northern Illinois broke its own NCAA Division I record for futility Saturday by scoring just four points in the first half at Eastern Michigan.

The Huskies had 13 points with 3:56 to play but found their scoring touch late to lose 42-25.

Northern Illinois trailed 18-4 at the half after shooting 1 for 31, including 29 straight misses.

Earlier this season, Northern Illinois set the record for fewest points in a first half in the shot clock era with 5 against Dayton on Dec. 1.

The Huskies' 3.2 percent field goal percentage in the first half also set a record, breaking Savannah State's 4.3 percent against Kansas State on Jan. 7, 2008.

The lone made field goal also tied a Division I record set by Savannah State in that game.

The Huskies finished the game 8 for 61 from the field for 13.1 percent, another NCAA record.

After 32 misses, Northern Illinois finally made a 3-pointer to finish 1 for 33 from long range.

The Huskies narrowly avoided the record for fewest points in a game -- 20, set by Saint Louis in January 2008.

Nerlens Noel picked up his fourth foul with about seven minutes left tonight (I won't even get into how horrible this game was in regards to officiating....they called about 50 fouls total between the two teams tonight, it was impossible to watch at times. Just let the damn kids play!!!!!!)....he then proceeded to block another five shots.

He blocked TWELVE SHOTS. Not even Anthony Davis got to 8.

Over the last 6 games, Noel has blocked 46 shots. He is already the second highest shot blocker in school history, and after 20 games he has more blocks than Davis (the NCAA record-holding shot blocker) did through his first 20 games.

The scary part of this is, in five of his twenty games he has had 2 or fewer blocks. And he still has 94 after 20 games.

he didn't have 12, fortunate scorekeeper gave him at least one of Wiltjer's in the 1H and the number swelled after the game ended.

With that said, he was a freak and the 16-0 run came as soon as he left the middle. Great win for the Cats, best win on the year so far, and they'll probably get hot late March at the perfect time

Nerlens Noel blew out his knee tonight, probably an ACL tear and dislocated patella.

This isn't very easy to watch. Season is over for UK; more importantly, the almost certain #1 pick in the draft has just lost a lot of money.

Hope the kid will be ok.
