Ah well.
Re: 2k League (League now open )
PLayed my first game and was blown out by Philly. Could not get a rebound or stop penetration in to the lane and they shot lights out! Nothing like an 0-1 start!!
Re: 2k League (League now open )
Grizz start off 0-2

Re: 2k League (League now open )
I was able to pause the league
Looks like all games are open
We have 8 days till the timer runs out
Looks like every we time we pause it gives us 8 days
Shouldn't be an issue getting game in
Chill Shelton

Jeez... you guys are 0-3... what setting is the league on? I should play a game or 2 offline to find out how bad I suck before I step into league play.

Looks like I missed this. Let me know if you start another one.
Re: 2k League (League now open )
i just lost 85-81 to the Thunder
i was up by 4 in the 4th before missing a few jumpers and Durant/Kevin Martin taking over.
Duncan had 27, Parker had like 12 assists and the game was tons of fun to play. the last few possessions were nailbiters as they took the lead, i answered they took it again and i missed a shot then had to foul.

Celtics are now 0-2!
Are we allowing trades or free agent signing? Need some help!!
Re: 2k League (League now open )
Doesn't matter to me
Just don't do something silly , like trading bass for Dwight Howard or something
Maybe we should post a potential trade or fa pick up here 1st , then let the league vote on it

I like how it shows the scores of other user games in the league going on if you're at the home screen. Denver drops game one to Minnesota, probably would have won if I didn't suck at FTs, but only first game I've played also.

Grizz fall to the Thunder 67-66
ZBO splits a pair at the line with 2.6 seconds left

Re: 2k League (League now open )
Bulls go 2-3 last night. Not bad for having not played the game since the league about 2 yrs ago.
I got hammered by the Lakers. Kobe can take the CPU off of the dribble at will and Howard is virtually unstoppable in the post. I tried to man him up with Noah and even the slightest misstep on my part resulted in a dunk. 90% of their points were scored in the paint. No answer.
The Wizards beat me as well. Very tough team. Wall and Beal are a solid combination and the bigs seemed so quick and athletic. Okafor and Nene just abused me. I think they had 4 alley-oops.
In the 5th game, Cleveland had me down by 15 at one point. Irving was nuts, dribbling into the paint at will. Varejao was incredibly active, very much like real life. I hit some huge 3 pointers down the stretch, closing out the 2nd and 3rd quarters with last second shots.
My overall impression is pretty solid. Using D. Rose, I destroyed Steve Nash, then when I tried some of the same stuff with Wall/Irving, it wasn't happening, so I had to change my game plan. I don't like that the quick plays aren't as defined as the last version that I played. I'm also not sure that I like some of the control setup. 1 huge bonus is that I've never been a fan of the shot stick. On the last version I played, if you only used [] to shoot then you were really limited offensively. Now, almost every shot stick shot has a corresponding regular shot. Definitely a huge improvement for me.
My offense leaves a lot to be desired. I used to focus on quick plays, calling for cuts and pick & rolls, but that stuff doesn't seem as consistent. I did notice that I can completely modify my playbook inside the league setup. So I was up until 230 last night messing around with it. I took out all of the plays, then tried putting in things that resembled what I'm used to seeing.
@ Dave - We have a game to schedule. I can play @ 1030 tonight, after class, or sometime tomorrow after work. I'm sure you're going to stomp me, but I'm hoping to pick up on some things that you do well to try to improve my game. Should be a good learning session for me.
