If I go to View unread posts, then out to the right of each thread....
There is an icon that looks like 2 pieces of paper with a red arrow pointing to the right.
If you click on that, it will show you the latest post in each thread.

Is this what you were referring to?

not sure that its working right, but at least the square is there.

The icon will take you to the latest post in the thread.

What shel was describing is something that will take you to the first unread post.
Right now, the latest post link is what is there.
I believe we are still missing the first unread post.

mine doesnt jump to the very end, it goes to the one that was unread at your last new visit. it links to coreys post when i click the orange box, which is:posting.php?mode=quote&f=53&p=580029#pr580023

Yeah doing it to me too. Was confused a couple times already because I missed a few posts before.

So when you click on a topics to get to the next unread post in a topic it takes you to the end of the thread.

This is even better than before!!! Now you don't have to scroll to the top of the page to get to the link, it's right there waiting for you when you read the last post. This is solid!!!

I had holmey put a board index link at the bottom near the view new posts link also.

Please continue to provide feedback if you run into anything.

I found another thing, more cosmetic than anything, but I don't want Thabeet to win another bet so I'm torn on whether I should mention it.

Can we also add a "View New Posts" link on the form that pops up AFTER you submit a reply to a thread?

We used to have that before and not sure if we can have it here or its there and I miss it.

Yep, I love having the "View New Posts" at the top of every page.

If you have VIew Unread Posts bookmarked, wouldn't you just click the Homepage icon in this instance?


Also, did you try the First Unread Post Icon? Works like a dream!

If the NDL was my homepage, sure.

But its not so having the view new posts, like we had before, would work great.

Add Bookmark, favorites bar would provide the same thing as well. Just throwing out options.

Of course, Holmey is King so I'm sure he'll find a way to get it back to the old way, that's what he does!!!
