Just ask Aaron Rodgers and JJ Arrington back in season 3

how many cutbacks after you hit a hole have you seen this year? I've seen about zero because there's too much crowding at the line of scrimmage so it's pretty much impossible because of how defenders leave blocks to make tackles so well.ajalves wrote:please....cutbacks after you hit the hole are way different then immediate bouncingVeniVediV1ci wrote: don't cutback too much because you'll get dinged on Coaches Reports, though

Outside of running straight to the sidelines on inside running plays there shouldn’t be anything considered cheese in this game.
The key word is consistency. I do not expect to be able to just easily have a 1,000 yard rusher, in fact I have made that a goal several times for myself in the NDL and never come closer than just over 900 yards. AA really would bring more balance, defense would be an adjustment for sure, but right now I can throw for 300 yards each night if I want to, but I'll only gain 100 on the ground once a blue moon it seems. Maybe I'm wrong, but the numbers don't lie, it is crazy that so few backs broke 1,000 yards this past season.DRWebs wrote:You can use your whole playbook and have success with a balanced game or even run heavier game. It's just that in this game there aren't many big plays with that so you have to be creative and nickel and dime it

Somebody mentioned how they were docked points for cutting back. I was giving my opinion that the only thing that I consider cheesy is taking an inside running play and running 90 degrees to the sidelines – which I have not seen anybody do.fsupenguin wrote: Not sure what you mean by that. I still cannot believe how closed so many of you are too even giving a season on AA a chance. Does anyone like offense any more? Anyone who will have a crap team should love this idea, your not going to be able to defend the run very well with a lower rated team but on AA you would also have a chance to get a consistent running game going. I see it rewarding better play-calling an allow you to truly use your entire playbook successfully with any team, not just the most powerful ones. If you disagree with this please explain.

Docking someone for making cutbacks is just being a bitch. If they run outside everyplay or run straight for sidelines then yes call them on it but if they hit the right side of the hole and then go through the line and cut back to the left or whatever thats just running the ball. This game is challenging to run because of the d-line and the RB's just flop over half the time when they get touched so running in a straight line at the defense is not an option.Hart4Heisman wrote:VeniVediV1ci wrote:how many cutbacks after you hit a hole have you seen this year? ...bouncing isn't even a problem in my opinion as it's just based off vision of the user so why does it get dinged so much? Beats me, but i think that if you know what you're doing you should be free to do it.
i hate ppl that bounce, but if im running a run play to the right, and see the left side of my OL surge forward and towards the right, u better fucking believe cutting off of their asses (as any good back will do). i guess u need to play me, any cutback i do is after i've hit the hole.. as crazy as it sounds, i spend most of my time running, right down the middle, or as close to the middle as possible.
EDIT: as for the topic at hand, im impartial, any way we decide is cool for me. would be nice to a change from throwing over the middle every single play since they cant get anything else going
