I use his attributes.
When they get to a certain point, they are then ok to put in the ML's.
The stats really have no bearing on anything in my opinion at the minor league levels.
the stats absolutely have a bearing on how fast or slow a guy reaches his potential. stats are part of the formula for their overall rating for crying out loud
I am not saying they do not mean anything.
I am saying, I pay attention to their attributes.
So once his Stuff, Movement or Control get to a certain point, or their actual pitches ratings get to a certain rating, then they are ready for the ML's.
The first statement was me saying they have no bearing on my personal decisions of when I promote a player.
The second statement was me saying to AJ that I get that the stats have an impact on a player reaching their potential.
They are just not something I pay attention to when I am deciding to promote my players. I pay attention to their attribute levels.
Sorry for the confusion.
I didn't read this one until the thread got a little bigger. This is a stupid request and shouldn't be put on everyone. If you want to change your minor league park dimension go ahead, shouldn't be blanket on the entire league. Just my opinion.

You said in your previous post that you read the OP and why it was requested, this post makes me think you didn't.

I read the voted on topic. That's it, and based on that alone I don't know why people are voting for this. I don't know what your OP stands for in your sentence and I don't care why it was requested. It should not be forced on every owner. The vote should be removed and if people want to change their minor league parks, let them.
ajalves wrote:you might not want yours changed and its whatever, but its not exactly a stupid request.
IMO, the actual "problem" with our minors is some of the ages of the guys in our lower minor leagues
Its a real issue
I laughed, because this has nothing to do with this thread.
And let's be real, if minor league park dimensions were requested in "real" baseball the entire baseball community would say it is a stupid request.
now topics or discussion cant evolve?
just so everyone knows, this isn't REAL baseball......far from it in fact
you cant have it both ways. Scream for realism one second then realign every few seasons .....or have 75 players on your rookie team....or 30 year olds on your single A team...etc etc
Again, the shel and AJ opinions are the only that matter. I request that Seattle organization not adhere to whatever this nonsense vote decides. And I have 91 on my rookie team, not 75!
ajalves wrote:stats also have an impact on attributes though
True, they do, so I just watch the attributes and when they get to a certain point, the player is ready to go.
Just what I do.
I'd say that is what most of us do, however if those attributes are being "stunted" or adversely affected by ballpark sizes (not even sizes but the hidden factor ratios) or un-tended to minor league systems then it most certainly is an issue
don't misunderstand, the league is awesome...I am here pretty much no matter what. But if certain things can be tweaked for the better of the league then its at the very least worth discussing

everything isn't personal Coug. everyone is certainly entitled to their opinion, lets not act like you have ever been shy about sharing yours
disagree with it because you disagree with it, but lets not disagree with it to spite Shel

I'm not saying it to spite shel. There is unknowns about everything in a sim. in this vote, the goal is to try and eliminate the unknowns which is the fun of this whole thing. Let's just make every ball park the same, every player the same, every series predictable so shel can finally win a sim championship...

still can't believe the vote was 18-6. Might have to get rid of "winter meetings" cause too many sheep who just prolly vote not to read 8 pages of non sense from Shel
