I see the other Coaches thread got locked. How about this....ML coaches are required and minor league ones can be optional....no more fines

I think the financial ramifications are still a problem.

The way I see it, the options are this:

1. All coaches, enforce fines
2. ML mandatory, minors don't exsist, enforce fines
3. No coaches at all

Otherwise you're going to have a pretty large financial gap and even though it's elective, I think that could throw some stuff out of whack with money for coaches being shifted to players, etc.

How much money do you think people are spending on Minor League coaches? It's really not that much money going towards players. Is this what you are worried about?

Average: 3.32 Mil. x 30 teams = $99.5 million randomly dispersed into players or other coaches.

I'd guess it's slightly less than those since I didn't get to have many teams to use, but still, that's a significant chunk of change that's just getting thrown out there.

Not saying it will be bad, hell, maybe it could be good, but it's certainly not "nothing" imo

you just said it yourself. 3.3 mill per team is "nothing".
