The rule is 15 million max and you can't exceed it so there is no penalty. You can't enforce the old tax rule as well as have a hard cap like we do.

Then the old way is much better IMO.


I feel like almost every Winter Meetings topic we vote on we make the wrong call on.


Reminder that I had ZERO guys go on the DL last season. The injuries alone are a big time immersion killer for me. We're playing on arcade mode at this point. Not good.

This is definitely a big reason why we're always wondering why our draft classes stink. The game balances out how much talent is in the league at a given time. We have so much in IFAs, of course it'll water down the draft classes.

It's legitimately stupid, I hate it. It's one of those that is so broken I'd be 100% ok with Billy overriding the Winter Meetings vote and saying this is absolutely not good for the league. But then again, seems like 28 other guys love it, so what do I know...

Gotta agree. The quality of talent from IFAs is actually retarded compared to our standard draft.

Of the top 20 prospects, it looks like 10 in our league were drafted.



That is compared to 17 of the top 20 prospects in real life were drafted.

Scouting is arguably the worst part of our league.

Amazing how long we've played this game and people still can't differentiate between Amateur IFAs and Scouting Discoveries

There was a winter topic because real life went away from the old way and created new guidelines

Old way: People go way over budget every other year, we need a change!

Zero disagreement here from me. Too bad OOTP doesn't have separate PCMs for INT FA/Scouting Discoveries/Draftees/Independent League guys.

I'm with you here, as Shel pointed out there's hardly been any injuries since we moved to 20 at least. Not sure if it's possible in the settings, but something like greater frequency, lesser intensity would seem appealing to me

Both.

Ideally those generated players would hit the draft the normal way but OOTP20 seems be the least logical version of this game I've played so who the hell knows what would happen.

Everyone can set their INTL budget to 0 and the regular draft becomes exciting after round 2 again.
