Next sim is TOMORROW - BONUS SIM!

I see why the team in Florida was so eager for today...

Here's the News:
Steel City Wins Lottery for MR Pacheco
This is not accurate, let me explain

Wednesday night sim I did offer him a contract, I got a response yesterday that he favors my offer but was going to wait a few days. Last night when I got home I checked the the status on pending offers for free agents, it said wants more $$$$, then i clicked on offer contract and his demands were meet my price and we will get a deal signed and my option were-MEET Demand, or submit offer. I did not hit anything, then I saw I could put a claim in for Alfredo Rodriquez off of waivers for about the same price. So i decided to put the claim in and hold off on offering a final contract to Pacheco until I was able to see if I received Rodriguez.
On my email I did get Rodriquez so I would not offer Pacheco a contract. I do not want pacheco, What is the league rule on this?

As honest as I can come across on this I did not offer Pacheco another contract last night and double checked and he still wanted me to increase the money on the offer contract option.

Did any of this make sense?

No.

If you previously offered him and didn't withdraw it, then the offer was still out there, whether or not he told you he liked it.

It didn't make complete sense Steel lol.

But your offers from previous sims are still there as offers when you roll over to the next sim. Did you withdraw the offer?

Honestly this is a lesson learned because I didnt know if your offer a contract and it is not accepted that it continues to stay on the players radar. When I checked the pending offers it still had the options of submitting, so I didnt hit submit and just left it and did not hit withdraw.

I do have a follow up question,
At the beginning of FA Season I offered Kenko Matsui an offer and it was not accepted same scenario as pacheco as far as the options, after that intial offer i did not offer him another contract but never withdrew it, how come I never received any emails up until he signed updating me on his contract negotiation?

if you don't go back to him with any new offers, he wont react to anything.

but if he doesn't like anything else, his demands might go down. if his demands go down and you stilll have an offer out there to him that now meets his demands, he'll consider your old offer again.

after his initial reaction, you should only recieve a new update/email when a guy who you offered signs with someone.

Could be many answers to that question.

In Pacheco's case, most likely what happened is you offered, someone else offered, the other person was ahead, and you got an email saying he wanted more. Then the other person withdrew, your offer was the best left and he took it.

In Matsui's case, depending on where you stood, you offered, someone else offered, the other person was ahead and you got an email saying he wanted more. You never countered, your position never changed and he took the other deal.

why anyone waives players (other than salary dumps) before the end of ST is beyond me. You have a chance to store them in your minors as thats the easiest sim to pass them through.
