Re: Random Discussions
I also read they were raising the goal posts cross bar. That would only add incentive for them to try and dunk on a higher bar

Re: Random Discussions
Well Malcolm Smith showed why it should be a penalty. Guys with no hops should not try and dunk the post. Even on a pick 6...

A couple of instances. Probably 1,200 touchdowns a year.shel311 wrote:I agree in theory, but I think there were a couple of instances of goalposts being messed up, and having to delay a couple of games for a bit to fix em, so that would make sense.Cnasty wrote:Now dunking on the goal posts after a TD is a penalty?!?
No fun league indeed!
There is something more to this than that; what I don't know.

So they should continue to allow the celebration knowing future goalposts will also be bent? That's not even logical.trendon wrote:A couple of instances. Probably 1,200 touchdowns a year.

We've already established that you absolutely suck at math and expected value, so I expected this answer.shel311 wrote:So they should continue to allow the celebration knowing future goalposts will also be bent? Re: Random Discussions
So simply not wanting goalposts to continue to be bent is not a logical and possible answer to why the NFL is doing this?
Is this real life?
Oh, and my math was based on fact, you stated as fact something that was just theories as of now, wouldn't you agree?

You don't know how much it costs to fix/replace a goalposts. Considering how strapped for cash most of the Franchises are, it probably is pretty expensive...trendon wrote:We've already established that you absolutely suck at math and expected value, so I expected this answer.shel311 wrote:So they should continue to allow the celebration knowing future goalposts will also be bent? Do you know if the ESPN app and NFL apps on it require you to be plugged into cable or is it like when you go to a website and need to provide a cable provider sign in to work and not the actual cable to be plugged in?
So you only use it for TV? Would probably go in my bedroom for the time being.
Corey, you know I've got you covered for ESPN, right? Same info as HBO/Showtime

Yes but wasn't sure if the xbone utilized these feeds from the hdmi in from a cable box for those or a true app like on a smart TV. Oracle clarified for me.jsence2 wrote:Cnasty wrote:A big negative is I don't have cable so wouldn't use it for TV at all really.

Not sure what is more impressive.
The NCAA online dynasties still going strong or people still playing COD.
Those are some dedicated NDLers.

It looks like the old guy on the left just nonchalantly walked away like he had seen that a thousand times.
Then I looked closely, and he has a bit of a hobble going, so that may have been him actually running in a panic

I liked how they kind of touched and pushed each other as they ran away like giving each other a boost to get their momentum of their run started.

Re: Random Discussions
I'd love to see Graham jump up, throw the ball Blake Griffin style, over and down behind the goal post, then argue the penalty on a technicality that he didn't dunk it.
