Just Dl'ed and took 3 minutes

Downloaded fine for me, just a couple of min.

I kicked mine off like 2 minutes after you posted coug, still no luck.
So right around 10:50 it started and took till now, 12:30 and it hosed up my OOTP again just now.

And Just posting to keep Reign in the loop so if he is working with our host or anyone else on this as I know he was talking to different folks about it.
So I will try in the morning when I get up and let Reign know.

mine took like 5 mins.. ugh, so fuckin long.

Again, I am just trying to help so we can fix this issue.

I joked about it, but we seriously need to start a new thread just to talk about the download/connection issues. The season thread shouldn't be 80% talk about connections and 17 guys posting how long their downloads took twice a day.

Right, cause the season thread should contain the 80% other stuff that everyone talks about that has nothing to do with OOTP.

And for the record, my download of the same file that messed up twice last night after very long times, just took 3 minutes and is successful.

No thread ever stays on topic 100%, but you'd be hard pressed to find one that stays on topic as much as OOTP threads, so not sure what you're talking about there.

Whether you're having issues or not, it's cluttering up a thread that is made to talk about how the season/offseason is going. It's not like my thought is some off the wall, outrageous opinion. I'm just saying, start a new thread, talk about connection issues there, and this thread can be for what it was intended.

I'd redesign a lot of the OOTP section (including putting it in it's own area), but I don't have any control over it. So I just play the hand that I'm dealt.

I understand it pretty much stays on topic, but we always have things that go a little off topic. What I am posting is still OOTP related.

But whatever, the Forum god known as shel has spoken, everyone better listen and never post anything that is not OOTP season related in this thread again!

And Reign, I will talk to you about the redesign of the forums.
I am working on that as we speak with holmey. I will have a post about it as soon as we have some updates to communicate.

No no, by all means, let's keep simming twice a day and having everyone talk about how long their download did or didn't take twice a day. Hell, most guys aren't posting informative stuff that could be helpful. It's just, "5 minutes for me" or "3 hours and a crash for me". Yes, we absolutely need more of that...twice a day!!!

Can't wait, it'll be riveting immersion.

It actually has helped... I'm pretty sure that we narrowed down the issue to evening downloads.

Now as far as what I can do with that... well... doing as much as I can. Just not a lot of hope right now.

you know whats a great topic, that has largely stayed on topic (or attempts to?) The Not so newsworthy thread.
