I haven't looked at any stats and will later, but how was he more deserving than McCaffrey? (sp)

Simple answer: the voters said so.
IMO:
Breaks a 30 year old SEC rushing record held by Hershel Walker (with fewer carried than Hershel had despite playing two more games)
Led nation with 23 scores.
SEC record 18 straight games with a TD
Only the third SEC back with 4 200 yard games ( Bo and Hershel are the other 2).
By no means a "SEC is better than the rest" argument but I would be curious to see the comparison of defense rankings Henry faced vs Mccaffery defense faced.

Well if we're bringing that up, Fournette played 2 fewer games and had more yards per game than Henry.
I really hope Fournette goes nuts in the bowl game and breaks Henry's new record...it's all I have left to hold onto for this failed season.
Henry had the best season by the Heisman characteristics, which I never realy agree with anyway. I'm not even deadset against him winning, it's just annoying how it was just assumed he'd win and he did when him, McCaffrey, Watson, Fournette, Cook, and Mayfield all honestly had legit cases to win it. That doesn't even into the whole defensive player argument that never happens.

Ehhhh looking at it now McCaffrey had more total yards but way less TD's than DH. Also DH has some really eye popping attempts in some games. Never realized he was 6'3" 242, good god what a beast. It could have gone either way.

McCaffrey broke the all time record for all purpose yards in NCAA history. Almost 270 yards a game.
I would consider him the "most outstanding player in college football" for his do everything mold and the most versatile player in the country I would say.
But i don't get a vote.

I'm good with whoever, but we all know who the best player in the country is...we all know

I am glad voting didn't close in October. LF lost the heisman vs Bama. Henry started getting noticed in that game and carried it on.
Heisman is what it is. Nothing more than a nice recruiting tool for Bama to attract kids.

No doubt on both accounts.
It's one of those subjective thinks you can't quantify but I just don't think Henry or McCaffrey does nearly as well playing in Les Miles's 1960 I-Form 1 WR sets. But I do think if Fournette switched and played for Bama, he woulda put up some out of this world type numbers.
