Future HOFer Miguel Acosta just hit the 70 war mark while also belting his 450th HR this past sim. Not likely but with his power holding up he has an outside shot at 500

if a player hits a bunch of HRs in the Sun Belt Conference.. does it really matter?

If he does not get in then it is for the reason Ted said and guys just fucking with me. Based on his career it is a no brainer.

Taylor Morrow has a career 88 WAR, that's the bar Acosta has to reach.

So the only way that Acosta can make the HOF is to have the highest war of all catchers in NDL history lol. He is currently the 18th player in history to reach 70 war and he is 11th in NDL history in HRs and climbing.

I would compare him to Lance Warren. The only catcher in the HOF. Both were good defensively but nothing huge between them.
for JAWS, Black, Gray, Standards and Monitor though, Warren has him beat. similar Jaws, Black, Standard but 30 more in Gray and Monitor.

Acosta's best days are behind him too, so he may be get diluted even further.

Hell, Warren wasn't first ballot, no way Acosta is.

1 thing is certain, we've let a few very meh dudes into the HOF, and Acosta is without a doubt better than probably 10+ current HOFers.

But at the same time, we've left quite a few good guys off...or at least made them go through multiple votes.

He'll likely retire around 14th all time in WAR, and every player ahead of him is either in the HOF currently are a 100% lock to be in once eligible because we still have this stupid 5 year rule.

We don't have the 5 year rule, that's why like 3 years ago we had a crazy stacked ballot. I am not really sure why Miggy hasn't been on the ballot yet. Maybe something got mixed up when going to 18??
