Boston traded and got good value for Wade Miley in my opinion since they had the rotation depth for one, two Carson Smith is controlled for I believe 4 or 5 more years, and three it frees up money to be spread elsewhere shoring up the roster

For a team that now desperately needs two starting pitchers I'm not sure I understand getting a second closer. How will the dynamic work with Jansen? Is Jansen getting moved? Granted they have had a bad pen and it has cost them, but their playoff time has exposed that even when they had Greinke, they needed at least one more good pitcher for the post season. With Greinke gone, they now need two guys to start with Kershaw.. and that assumes one of those two can start twice in a 5 game series.
They quickly signed Iwakuma following their miss on Greinke who I feel is greatly underappreciated and could be a great signing
Dang, Dipoto hinted towards them not being able to sign Kuma and having to shift their focus to a starting pitcher for the rest of the off season. Hisashi's only downfall was his inability to pitch an entire season. If it wasn't a back issue it was a blister issue or whatever issue he was having.

Braves trade Shelby Miller to Dbacks for 3 players including Dansby Swanson.

While Miller looked good at first glance he pitched closer to a 3.75-4.00 mark and a pretty weak 122:55 K:BB for the greater portion of the season... Think this is one hell of a masterstroke for the Braves as Swanson is no Gordon Beckham and the real deal. Then they got two others who should contribute
Also Mets lost out on Zobrist to the Cubs

Castro to the Yankees for Adam Warren. I think I like it. We'll have a good 2B now which we haven't had since Bobby left. If he can be .335 castro and not .225 base running errors DGAF Castro I'll be all about it.
I almost traded him in my dynasty league today too haha

I think Castro still has a lot of really good baseball ahead of him. He'll be fine in NY.

Jerry Dipoto must have heard how things got done in the Seahawks organization the first year Carroll and Schneider took over. The image painted from previous front offices were that the cupboards were bare in the Seattle Minors, but other teams seem to think that there are flyers to be had with all the trades Dipoto is making. The Seattle tagline this year will be "Who are these guys!" They will still have Cruz, Cano and Seager and with the emergence of Marte at the end of the season, it will be interesting. Not sure the deals made will be enough, but at least the twitter feed has a Mariners trade or signing every day unlike the other GM

20 guys on their 40 man roster were on it last season or something like that. But you might as well answer with the only known pitcher in the starting rotation from the M's.

when you have an unlimited bankroll like the yanks, any "dart" is worthwhile because it dont mean shit - doesnt mean its a good one.

I'd like to see where you came up with this thought process.
I hear this "castro played better at 2B' comment on other forums, and yet he had a negative UZR at 2B and a positive one at SS :s .. so thats incorrect. Also, hes awful, -16 offensive number by Fangraphs. WRC+ of 80, .296 OBP. He's just not good at all in any way. He's merely a prospect name at this point people hope somehow becomes something he's not.

People forget Starlin is only what......25 years old. Still some good baseball ahead of him. He played very well for the Cubs this post season.
