This and it is simply my opinion.
Swann and Stallworth I feel were just as good as Bryant and Brown.

That Beckham hit was one of the dirtier ones in recent memory.
I would say 3 game minimum suspension is due but doubt that happens.

yeah, they missed a few plays that should have been penalties at the least, if not ejections.

that's way worse than anything Suh ever did. He's just lucky he didn't KO the dude or worse. that was extremely wreckless

His season should be over. Period. Ridiculous if it's anything less.

He won't get the suspension/fine that Suh would have gotten if he had done this. I'd be surprised if it's 2 games and 25,000.
I hope he gets more as that was one of the dirtier plays I have seen I recent memory. And with all the problems with brain injuries being brought to light in the recent years his season should be dine. But do we have any faith Goodell would do the right thing?

He should be made an example of with the shit he pulled that entire game summed up by that.
Norman wasn't an angel either throughout but to lose his cool like he did most of the game and then do that was crazy to watch. And then get the game tying TD and walk over Norman.
A tornado of emotions and events!

Cant he appeal so the suspension could theoretically not take place until next year?

When it is conduct, not sure how those appeals work.
If it was substance related, I know he could and could put it off till next season.
And George, I agree that it won't be as harsh as if someone like Suh did it, but Suh is also a repeat offender.
There have been no discipline issues with Beckham till now.

He was actually fined this season for I think multiple punches he threw against the Bills.

They'll fast track the appeal so that they'd know by Sunday nights game so the team can make roster changes as needed.
It was all stupid and bad and he just showed teams that you can get in his head and get him out of the game for 75% of the time.
That said, his head first dive was no worse than any offensive lineman (typically from Pittsburgh) diving into the pile super late.
This wasn't just as bad or worse considering the size of the players involved?

That's bad as well.
Both should sit for a couple games.

I hope they do sit Beckham down at least next week or even the last two games of the season. It was somewhat ridiculous, in my mind, that the team didn't seem to have anyone other than the WR coach talking to him on the sideline. Coughlin should have lit him up and sat him down. Just another sign that he's retiring at the end of the season I guess...

Watching SportsCenter, they said it will most likely be a 1 game suspension for Beckham.
That Pittsburgh play is just as bad in my opinion.

I didn't give them that rep, they earned it all on their own. And my Pittsburgh fan buddy at work is always pissed at them when they do it.

So... the Colts really suck. I wonder who's going to be coaching them next year.

"yeah but you guys did it too!" wasn't the type of reply i expected from you.
fwiw, i've never heard anyone complain about Pitt O linemen being dirty. Steelers are the least penalized team in the league, which doesn't mean they can't be dirty but those two thinks don't typically go together.

I was just latching on to the "worst hit ever" mentality that was creeping into the conversation. I'm not defending Beckham, but there are plenty of equally bad hits around the league. Singling out Pittsburgh was just easy after the hit yesterday. So rather than a "you guys did it too" I more meant that these plays happen more often and we only have the reaction to the most recent ones -- which I didn't convey in that way the first time.
I don't think Pittsburgh is dirty at all, but I seem to have a recollection of this type of play with their offensive line happening 1-2 times a season, and I know I've discussed it with my buddy at work. It's likely a result of their hustle, which is traditionally high for their team, with blocking down field.
