Depends if the refs are going to call all the Italian flops.

Man, the U.S. has a golden opportunity to get to the semi-final. So far, they avoid, Mexico, Argentina, and Germany. If they beat Ghana, they play the winner of S. Korea and Uruguay.

Uruguay is a very good team.

As for the Italy match the ref is Howard Webb--and he's known for giving penalties, at least to Manchester United :D

Turnovers. The one thing that sucks in every single sport.

I greatly dislike the Italian team because my entire family and friends are all Italian, so rooting against them gets me much joy.

That said, they do have the best looking national uniforms.

I felt Lippi made a huge mistake by leaving Rossi and Grosso at home, and not asking Del Piero and Totti and Nesta to play, all three had made it known they would come out of retirement from international duty if he asked them to.

I feel even more strongly about it now.

Sometimes you need to let go, like the US Men's hockey team did.

But the USA Men's hockey team brought in new young talent. Lippi went with a lot of older players, and didn't bring in anybody other than Di Natale who can create at the top--Totti is still in his prime, Del Piero still plays well, and Nesta is younger than Cannavaro, and probably better at this point.

Not like I'm wanting him to bring in a bunch of old veterans, I want him to bring in people who can CREATE and DEFEND. That said, the loss of Pirlo really hurt us, he was the man who controlled the transition from defense to attack.

that was legit.

dirty fucking gash. given how most soccer players are giant pussies with their flopping im surprised he's still playing.

soccer might be the only sport in the world where you dont get made fun of for faking an injury.
To be fair, I think the proper term is not "pussies" so much as drama queens/fakers.

Mexico sucks I wish we could play them

Uruguay is really good. I doubt the USA can beat them unless they play very very well
