MLB '13 - Bye Braun
Re: MLB '13 - Bye Braun
Now granted I am a hockey noob trendon. If I were to hit a star player on a team with a hard but legal check would we not see that guy get his ass pummeled at some point during the game?

of course you would. Its and unwritten rule......but he'll swear he doesnt like that rule either

Re: MLB '13 - Bye Braun
eh it depends on the hit. it would be instant reaction tho. if say Crosby got rocked, someone on his line is gonna skate over and punch the dude in the face. they dont wait til a period later and hope to hit him with a check or something.
side note: its crazy how many hockey players are coke heads

So you agree with Trendon thenajalves wrote: I could care less if guys celebrate. really. I think its pretty dumb and selfish, but some guys are dumb and selfish.
Barry Sanders and Walter Payton never "celebrated"
Manning either.

I was on Schiano's side on that one too, but you could say that argument was the team saying this could cause an injury(not saying they're right)ajalves wrote:trendon wrote:Honestly, I can't even think of one now that I am trying to. Kicking the ball out of bounds when an opponent in soccer is injured? Maybe the whole Schiano flap from last year? Baseball is the only sport where this shit matters.ajalves wrote:trendon wrote:I'd love to hear the others. The ones I know about in other sports usually involve avoiding injury.BFiVL wrote:Each sport has unwritten rules that are stupid to some folks. I like baseballs more than the others.
i guess those are ok
My unwritten rule is that I get to unabashedly attack these stupid fucking suggestions at any time.
torpedoing the kneel down in football?
Baseball's unwritten rules are guys just being whiny about nonsense, I do think it's different IMO.

no no no ....its a black white thing.....nothing "depends"

Re: MLB '13 - Bye Braun
why is it the guys who yell at guys who stare at HRs are worse than the guys who are staring. Why is that considered guys "just having fun"
whats fun about that?
whats fun about that?

Re: MLB '13 - Bye Braun
The bigger question is why do we care what they do?
If we laugh at them, hate them for doing it, or dont care they have succeeded in entertaining us which is why we watch sports in the first place, no?
I love characters that act like idiots and the guys that hustle and just play the game and act like they have been there before.
My take on it.

Im talking mainly to trendon. While I think its moronic, I dont really care.
Trendon just speaks in the most general terms about things he has no actual idea about

Re: MLB '13 - Bye Braun
What's most amazing to me was that he could stand at home plate for 1-2 seconds and still easily make it to third on the triple.
Re: MLB '13 - Bye Braun
Don't think anyone ever bought a ticket to see a TD celebration, pimp a home run, or beat their chest. That's just me.

Re: MLB '13 - Bye Braun
maybe batters should just start turning and looking at the catcher while he's giving signals...

Re: MLB '13 - Bye Braun
im as guilty as anyone here, but this seems to be slightly off the original topic. For the most part, I could care less about celebrations or whatever.BFiVL wrote:Don't think anyone ever bought a ticket to see a TD celebration, pimp a home run, or beat their chest. That's just me.
But to say all "unwritten" rules are dumb is actually dumb in itself
