I joked about it, but we seriously need to start a new thread just to talk about the download/connection issues. The season thread shouldn't be 80% talk about connections and 17 guys posting how long their downloads took twice a day.

Right, cause the season thread should contain the 80% other stuff that everyone talks about that has nothing to do with OOTP.

No thread ever stays on topic 100%, but you'd be hard pressed to find one that stays on topic as much as OOTP threads, so not sure what you're talking about there.

Whether you're having issues or not, it's cluttering up a thread that is made to talk about how the season/offseason is going. It's not like my thought is some off the wall, outrageous opinion. I'm just saying, start a new thread, talk about connection issues there, and this thread can be for what it was intended.

If you look at how I responded to Shel, it was no cursing or anything, I simply gave him some shit about thinking he was the almighty....
But then I thought about it and I realized what he was saying made sense.
It took me all of 10 seconds to create the other thread.

If the majority of people were having the issue, I agree leaving it in here wouldn't hurt, but I can understand how the 25 guys in here got tired of hearing the 5 of us whine every time we tried to download.

Nothing on these forums requires that kind of response.
Again, these are online forums meant to get you away from the daily grind. Nothing in here should cause you that kind of stress that makes you go off on someone.

Hah, I know everyone knocks Nick... but I think he'd do a pretty good job. He's been clutch on the Rookie Draft stuff and he's constantly paying attention to his team and getting uploads in, plus I know he has the technical knowledge to work through that side of it too.

That is some funny shit right there Corey!

As far as nick, I agree that I think he would do a great job.
Not to publicly bash him, but we have experienced 2 times where he disappeared as a conference commissioner.

If he would stick with it though, I completely agree that he would do a great job.

But nobody really cares in the grand scheme if they don't have a conf commish, especially the last few seasons.

Let Nick disappear for a Tuesday morning sim, and he'll have 29 guys wanting his head on a stake.


But I think he'd do just fine as a backup to help run sims.
