Eagles looking into Doug Pedersen (KC OC), Adam Gase (CHI OC), and may rekindle interest with Brian Kelly (ND HC)... personally I'd love to see Hue Jackson in Philly but could be a pipe dream. Second best from my perspective is any coach that can bring in a top flight DC or is one themselves

while this is crazy, its also a pass happy nfl and rushing yards are pretty low (Peterson won with like 1450). One would expect these WR reception records to constantly be broken

Chip with Manziel as our QB as he fits his scheme.

Sashi is a good dude, hell of a cap lawyer, and good at working on processes and plans. Not exactly sure how good his football eye is though. This is kinda like the Banner thing. Then Lombardi. Then hiring Harvard kids to be the scouting interns and come up with a system. Etc.

They're trying too hard to be cutting edge. Just do it right.

Not happening.

Manziel doesn't fit any scheme, other than Jerry Jones' "QB of the future" when he inevitably trades a 3rd for him to back up Romo, and Johnny finally washes out of the league.

He had flashes of competence in the last few games of the year, but he's not an NFL QB.

I wasn't saying I wanted it to happen, was just a thought.

Personally, I am not sure I want Kelly and his style of Offense in Cleveland.

Yea you guys should steer clear of that circus. I'd guess they're going hard after Gase (as they were last time around), but so are a lot of other (more desirable, sorry) teams.

Nothing to be sorry about.
The Browns organization is a mess. Has been for a long time.
I really thought the new owner was going to change that, but so far, it has been the same circus, just a different ring.

There just aren't enough good NFL QBs to go around. There's about 20 or so good ones who can win you a Super Bowl if you surround them correctly and pretty much all backups are shit. Kaepernick and RGIII should end up getting paid elsewhere but that's it in movement really.

Then you have all the old guys starting to fade. Suddenly Ryan Tannehill will look like a top 10 NFL QB

20 is a lil high imo.

also like all the years before us, when the old are about to retire, theyll be subplanted by future elites. I'm sure people in NE were losing their shit when Bledsoe was replaced by some kid named Brady, and how Luck replaced Peyton, or how Wilson replaced Hasselbeck, etc etc.

Mariota, Winston, Carr, Goff/Paxton?, Cook? etc etc, could be the new generation of elite QBs but we wont know til they fill their resume out.

If the Cowboys offered their 3rd right now, I'd injure myself saying yes so damn quickly.

This really sums up my thoughts. I'd love to a fan of a team that is bucking the system and doing something new and creative... but at the end of the day, I just want to see some playoff football. This ship isn't changing directions in 2 seasons.

My biggest issue is that at the end of the day, Jimmy is still controlling everything. I want to like the guy. In fact, I do kind of like him. But he's a poor man's Jerry Jones right now. His last press conference was pretty telling though. He admitted that things are a helluva more intense than he anticipated. That it's a lot easier to show up every few Sunday's as a minority owner of the Steelers than it is to be the main guy. Now the question is will he put his ego aside and really dive into the business.

By doing it the only way he knows how. Offering fans rebates, and scamming the crap out of them.

Sounds like the last 16 years... minus the rebates.
