What is the consensus on rehab assignments? After a very long layoff for a position player is it necessary?

I don't think there is enough data to show one way or the other.
I personally would send them on one if its been a very long layoff like 3 months or more but thats just me.

Makes sense. Welch has been out a very long time with concussion related issues so I figured he needed one. I was just getting greedy because I have Winterfell and Washington this week so I was hoping everyone would say its a waste and I could use him. Looks like off to AAA he goes

Chicago and Akron hado one called in the 6th....in Akron though

Temperatures are frigid right now in certain areas as I saw some 30 degree game time temps and winds 10+mph.
Bats will warm up as the season progresses!
