Just had this happen in my hometown. It was with multiple girls apparently, but only two brought charges. The age of consent is 16, and both were over 16, but there is another law that says teachers can't have sex with students under 18. He pled guilty to two counts and I think has a third for one of the girls because it happened in another county, so they charged him as well. It is a small town so the rumor mill was in high gear. But from what I understand, he dumped one and she got mad, so she turned him in. Supposedly, both sets of parents knew it was going on. One of the girls (18 and out of school now) showed up to his sentencing to ask that he not get jail time because they were in love and wanted to start a family.
