NFLPA Prez n OT Eric Winston doesn't sound too happy with the NFL right now
I have been stewing over what happened last night and what was said earlier today. This is what I think:
Last night everyone saw a young man’s dream turn into a nightmare.
The mistakes he made in the past were released out there to millions with an intent to harm him. What did the NFL do? Nothing.
In fact, if Roger is to be believed, they loved it because it made the draft “so exciting."
The NFL invested big on this marketing campaign of “family.” It was all over Chicago on every billboard.
Let me dish out some free advice to the young men coming into this league this weekend: they are not your family. This is a business.
I hope that what Laremy said is true and that he learned from his mistake.
I wish him good luck and hope every drafted player is wise to what it takes to make it in the NFL and who really has your back.

I think Goodells statement was pretty ridiculous and out of place for a leader for a business such as the nfl where has had tried to be such a hardass to say even though it is a true statement lol

If the Cowboys can get Jaylon Smith and Sean Lee on the field together and keep them healthy, that'd be a scary duo... Glad to see someone give him a shot
Also felt Titans made another solid pick

What did they do wrong there? Their pass rush was shitty last year. Kid seems to be very very good.

Quite a few outlets felt his production last year was largely just using speed to whip college lineman and didn't have any real technique or true past rush moves making him a higher bust player than other available defensive lineman

Fair enough. Wasn't like they reached for a punter or some 4th/5th round projected guy though.

Agreed there and also they seem to be sticking to their guns of high productivity college guys who tested well at the combine

Very good day 2. I figured if Titans got any bama players it would have been one of the three defensive. Happy to have Henry but a strange pick considering we traded for Murray. Nice to have two big backs to go along with Marriota.

That pick was a bit off for me as well, why not see what Murray has left this year and then find a back next year in a class with potentially better backs. Overall, one of the better team drafts this year though and really like the Byard pick. Things are getting better Biffy!

My favorite pick of the NFL draft was the Browns taking "Scooby" Wright. Wright reminds me so much of another undersized MLB that played at a college in Arizona... Vontaze Burfict. There are so many similarities... both players knocked for being short and having average at best combine stats. I think both were a bit reckless at times on the field in college, but when you watched them play, they were always making plays and around the ball. The Bengals got a steal by getting Burfict UDFA in 2012, I'm hoping the Browns just did the same thing by making "Two Star Scoob," "7th Round Scoob."
I don't buy many jerseys, but I love the idea of snagging a Browns jersey with "Scooby" on the back. Woof woof!
