So if you were born in Italy, USA shouldn't even matter at these games. I can tell you this, If I ever moved to another country, I would still root for Canada and ONLY Canada.

I didn't say they don't care, just saying that league sports trump international games.

I'd trade one more Devils Stanley Cup for 100 US golds.

Yes, because every time one of my teams lose, I claim they were cheated.

It's not like there weren't two controversial calls in this match or anything

Question, how much do you pay to have your vagina waxed?

Twice. Not bad for a sport that is, like, fifth most popular and only played by a small contingent of the country.

Don't make me come up there and burn Quebec ... again.

Well, hockey is a sport where you can punch someone ... just because and, at worst, you'll get two minutes. It is kinda unique.

solid punch...

maybe the guy shouldnt have been in his net...

While I agree they shouldn't have tried to rip the ball out of his hands, it's custom practice when a team is down late and score, they don't run around and celebrate; they get the ball out of the net, rush it to midfield, and set up for the kickoff. They know every second is precious and they want to get the match restarted as soon as possible.

The goalie went and got the ball and was just wasting time, as they were doing the entire last 15 min of the match (laying down, etc) and Webb was not booking them for it. That said, he went for the face, and that's a HUGE no-no. You attack the head with your hand, it's an automatic red, whether it's retaliation or instigation.

Didn't the youth team win too, the U-17 or U-19 or whatever level it was?

People hate Italy because they dive and flop constantly and then whine and cry when they lose. Then their "fans" (you included) whine and cry constantly when they lose. It's pretty much the same reason everyone hates the French. Maybe France and Italy can get together back in Europe this weekend, eat some pasta, drink some wine, ogle some chicks with hairy armpits, and play a couple friendlies. With all those flopping divers on the field, it would probably look something like this as soon as the referee blew his whistle to start play.
