Observations by an indian guy that is a Miami fan regarding the Georgia Tech game(no idea how I found this blog)
Pregame

ESPNU, again.
I don’t think I’ve ever hated a team before just because of their style of offense. But, I am personally offended that Georgia Tech subjects us to watching this triple option ever year. I don’t know how their fans do it.
Commentators are Anish Shroff (gods help us) and Kelly Stouffer. What are the racism rules here? Can I make Indian jokes about Shroff because I am Indian?
Tech is getting the ball first. Here comes 800 running backs and an oversized receiver.

Then games would take about 6 hours to play lol.
jsence2 wrote:(Best part--we only committed two "penalties" on Saturday, and they admitted they were both wrong
Then you probably know those 2 calls evened out with 2 no calls along the way. :)

I'm not saying all penalties. But "12 men on the field" is reviewable in the NFL, if I'm not mistaken. And I've seen multiple games this year where there have been big time penalties called/not called and calls missed that have dicated the outcome of games. Texas/ISU was a big one recently. What's the point of having replay if we're not going to use it right? And do like the NHL--have someone in the central office do it, rather than the idiots who got it wrong in the first place "reviewing" if they got it wrong.

.....where did I give an excuse for why we lost? Did anything in there say that "we lost because...." or "we got screwed"?

We still would've had to have stopped them on third down to get the ball back. And then, we would've had to have scored a TD, and then found a way to win in overtime. My point was simply, stop apologizing after the fact, and get it right the first time. Wasn't talking about just that game or that call. Was talking about games all over the country.

But I understand, you ahve to take a shot at me anytime you can to curry favor with the "big boys" in here ;)

Agreed. GT is the only ACC team that I will root against all the time. Its even worse when they are doing well or contending for ACC championship.

It's embarassing really to have that in the conf. It's like having that family member who's not quite right. Ya gotta love em but not exactly enthusiastic for everyone to know the relation

wait what!?

I spent all Saturday talking about how great/brilliant the offense was and how it continues to work year after year.

at one point in like the 3rd quarter GT qb was 3-3 for 24 yards passing.. and they were either winning or it was still real close.

Same here, I love watching it. It's one of the most frustrating offenses to watch if you're rooting for the other team.

Me too. I love watching GT except when they are playing FSU.

If that was my team I would take a hiatus until that offense was no longer at my school.

Boring, you get behind the game is over because there is zero pass threat, and the offense has zero chance against good defenses (see against LSU and others)

Everything he said was true. :D

Who is hotter, McCarron's chick that Musberger was getting a chubby over or UCF QB, Blake Bortle's chick?

I am fairly sure that Georgia Tech is near the top of the nation in comeback wins under Johnson. I can't be exactly sure.

Option offense is lazy mans football

there is no creativity..there is no strategy, there is no chess game

its 100% discipline and execution....if this, then do that, if that then do this

*yawn*

isn't that EXACTLY what chess is?

unless you're going to say there is no strategy at all and its the same repetition over and over regardless of opponent, i'd argue its very much like chess

I'm so proud of you right now.

We might be acting this way though because our teams have some of the best offenses they have had in years.

Previously we probably would have welcomed the option
