unemployment is at 4% but that number was taken during the beginning/middle of March. The Fed is saying it's closer to 10%.

Treasury Secretary seemed to indicate during the press conference that sole proprietors and IC's likely will be able to claim portions of the paycheck protection portion of the act. So you may still be in luck, George

I saw that. I am waiting for next week when the new program designed for sole proprietor LLC's / IC begins. Definitely hitting up my CPA for this though

Sailors cheer Navy captain who was removed after pleading for help with coronavirus outbreak

Crozier was removed from duty after a letter he wrote pleading for help for those onboard his ship who are infected with the coronavirus leaked to the media.

Imagine losing your job for pleading for help for your soldiers who save your country

Ontario Health Minister is telling us about projections.

Over 80 worldwide - 20% mortality
Over 70 - 10%

Wild.

It sucks, but the problem is he did this on blast outside his chain of command and to the public. There's repercussions for that.

100% he should have been relieved IF he was the one that leaked it to the media. It's not the way the military works. It's not a democracy and the rules that you think should be adhered to are much different in the military. For instance, you can go to jail for having an affair, while not against the law for regular civilians it is against the Uniformed Code Military Justice (UCMJ) and can be punished. While I'd venture to say that anyone having an affair has a .000001% of seeing jail time in the military, it's still a possibility whether you (civilians) think it's okay or not.

In Ontario:

normal yr - 1300 ppl die from flu
bad year - 1500
if everything is done martial lawesque we'll lose 3000
more than likely will lose 15 000 based on the actions already
had we done nothing - 100k would of died

frightening

"its just a cold guys"

well if affairs actually put military people in jail then you'd have no navy..

It's amazing we can't even get 1% of what's demonstrated in that letter from the Commander in Chief.

If anyone thought we would get that kind of decorum when he was elected they were obviously stupid and didn't pay any attention to the 2016 race. He wasn't elected because of the way he talked, it also won't be the reason he gets reelected.

Nonetheless, that doesn't change the fact that is is "amazing we can't even get 1% of what's demonstrated in that letter from the Commander in Chief."
