7-12 so far in spring training. This could be an ugly, ugly season.

Wouldn't that record, extrapolated out over 162 games be better than last year?LetsGoPeay wrote:7-12 so far in spring training. This could be an ugly, ugly season.

Type A - Signing team loses their first round pick if it's after pick 15 (I think) or their second round pick if their first is before pick 15. The former team gets the signing teams pick, plus an additional first round pick in the compensation round.
Type B - Signing team loses nothing. Former team gets a first round pick in the compensation round.

It is only ST, but I am a little excited in the fact that letting go of my manager of last season after our collapse and promoting from within looks like it is paying off.

Then why wouldn't guys rather sign Type B players over Type A?

If they are equal talent, then obviously B is the right choice.

because Type A are typically very good players.WooPigSooie316 wrote:Then why wouldn't guys rather sign Type B players over Type A?

Re: 2022 - Season - (Ready 3/20)
to be clear
I am not saying guys should or shouldnt be signing type a or type b guys. I simply see many players who could be starting for 1/2 the league that rot in free agency

Can someone that has time give me an update on how Omaha is doing this spring. Any great performers for hitters and pitchers.
Also, Reign, not sure how this is going to affect my 25 man roster but if I recall correctly Lynwood Malone is out if options and would like to place him on my active roster. If u need to make room you can waive or release Sweeney or Stone (whichever is worst)

My lax attitude towards paying hitters has cost me Alvarez and Walker.ReignOnU wrote:Vaughan Walker and Lawrence Vickers are throwing back the clocks this Spring.

Not trying to pimp my player here and hopefully not giving away too much strategy... but I look at Sun and see a very solid OF (is injury prone), that is open to a 1yr deal, and if he performs well, would likely be a Type A/B again next season. IDK, maybe it's just me, but if I've got some money laying around, I'm signing that guy to boost my team for a season then hoping he gets me some compensation next season.

Since we are talking about Type A, I have a situation that I was pretty curious about. Ok, so Morrissey was signed (Hartford I believe) and he was a Type A. I get Hartfords first round pick (Not in top 15) and I get a pick in the supplemental round. Then I go out and sign that closer, that i'm pretty sure was a Type A guy (from Omaha I think). My question is which 1st round pick Omaha gets. Does Omaha get my original 1st round pick or the pick that I would receive from Hartford? Didn't know if it went with highest pick, which would be the pick I received from Hartford, or if it just went off of my teams original picks.

We had this issue last season with Reign and I. I think the way it is supposed to go is he would get your actual pick based on where you finished in the standings.Whittness10 wrote:Since we are talking about Type A, I have a situation that I was pretty curious about. But in the instance of Last season, Corey signed a Type A guy from my team, nad Corey was supposed to pick 17th. I picked 24th, and I signed a type A from Reign's team. I thought I would get 17 and Reign would get 24. But Reign cheated and got 17 while I got 24.
