I am in a survivor pool that started with 662 people and somehow I am still alive. Even crazier that 35 others are with me. Anyone who does these know how quickly numbers dwindle. Payout for he winner would be 31,500 but pretty unlikely a solo winner. Anyways, as you can imagine it's getting tough as most good teams have been used. Here are my top plays this week....
Oakland over Colts
Titans over Jags
I lean Raiders as they are home and can clinch a bye if they win out. I still have a hard time believing Titans are good and definitely not on the road. Plus I can see the Jags having some win for the new coach thing we see so often. So, thoughts.......

Tough call. Colt have won 4 straight road games. I don't quite trust the Raiders.
Granted, I wouldn't be fully confident in Tennessee on the road but in the end, I'd like to get my money in on Jacksonville losing, they've lost 9 straight.

Damn it, I was hoping this would be unanimous. I agree though, it's tough. I also have KC who needs to win and can knock out Denver and they are home. Just can't count out that Denver D quite yet. Lastly SD, I know they play the Browns but it seems like a very Phillip Rivers/Charger thing to do by going down there and losing. Think I have to choose between Oakland and Tennessee

Hmmm, maybe I should look in to that more. It just feels like a weird game to me.

Cam Newton slides, and during the slide gets hit... in the head
No penalty. Then Cam gets a penalty for flicking at the player who hit him.
Oops.

the NFL really doesn't seem to call ANY penalties when the QB slides
even though I thought it was a rule.

No. no don't do this.
It's going to be cold as fuck.
Warm weather team.
Coming east for a 1pm game.
Christmas Eve.
This is the game I said the browns would actually win about 6 weeks ago when it looked like they might lose out.
Ask admiral Akbar. It's a trap

I actually completely agree with this. I also know the Jags are awful but I can't help but think the Raiders are my best play.

Dogs win all the time. I tend to shy away from road teams in these pools and in late season it's all about motivation. What scares me is Browns have more than SD.

..its Christmas Eve when most games are being played, so if u wanna believe potential narratives like running a lot to speed up the clock to end the game so they can get back home, Titans are gonna run the ball every single down on Jax. That probably explains why the lines so low.

OAK -3.5/ -190
TENN -4.5/ -220
SD -7/ -265
Again, go with San Diego.

Much more.
Nick isn't wrong either, Jags may actually win that one outright.
Oakland seems to be the play. I hate taking the "obvious" play, but they're better than Indy, and they're at home. They did just clinch a playoff birth, but that doesn't mean they're ready to let up and give in. They also were just on the west coast, so it won't be an overly taxing week for them.

Oh, and it's a short week. So long road trips are that much worse. Not sure if SD or Indy will make them 3 day trips like you would usually, but either way, travelling East-West and West-East on a short week like this, with Holiday crap going on, is not even close to ideal.

Agreed, plus Oakland needs to win out for a bye and a home game which after 15 years I am sure hey are motivated to get. I don't think Oakland is your typical, dominant 11-3 team but they are much better than the Colts who have less than a 10% chance of getting in. I think it's Oakland fellas but it's still Tuesday so who knows

Who was more motivated to win last night?
Stop with your motivation talk.

One of the things I never understood in football is punching a dude wearing a helmet.
At least give him an uppercut!
