As much as I hate talking on the phone, I hate it twice as much while driving. Not sure why, probably that my drive to and from work is my only free time in a week

Listen to the day before's episode on the way to work, and usually finish it up 10 or so minutes into the drive home. I listen on the 2x speed.

- Have you ever witnessed your father chopping off someone's fingers?
- Is your mother inordinately aroused by fine cuts of meat from the butcher shop?
- Did a small flock of ducks recently take up residence in a body of water near you only to suddenly disappear just when you were starting to bond with them?

They had one of the lifeline helicopters fly out to the school today for this anti-texting and driving program. I was pretty surprised by how small it actually was. It's like the Hyundai Elantra of aircraft.

They had me participate in that during my junior year. They dressed me in an old tux, covered me in fake blood, and had me sit in the back of a wrecked car scene on the football field for an hour while they played out the rescue scene. I was bummed because I wanted to watch it from a spectators POV instead

I dont live in a great part of town, but being less than 5 minutes commute from work makes it worth it. At 1.8 miles, I can wake up 20 minutes before I have to be there and arrive about 5-7 minutes early. Im usually less than 10 minutes alarm-to-door in the morning

Google maps says I'm a 7 minute drive from work but I don't think it's even that far.

This story about the father of the NC prosecutor being kidnapped by the Bloods is fascinating.

Will be interesting to see, with the further threats made on her family's lives, if they are tkane into Witness Protection. It's scary to see how this guy was in prison for the umpteenth time for some pretty bad stuff, and was still able to sneak in a cell phone and ochestrate this whole thing.

That said, the family must have known they weren't dealing with the brightest bunch when they get a text saying that they will start "torchering"
