This season, NE's average drive was 2 minutes 44 seconds. The Saints average drive was also 2 minutes 44 seconds.

NO's average drive was also longer in 2015/2014/2013/2011/2010...

Just saying he elected to continue playing with bad defenses, not about what they earned

Correct, he did choose to continue playing with the Saints.

So a Saints board i check out happen to have the same exact convo start up today comparing all 4 of the current HOF QBs. I swear I didn't look all this up myself....you gotta believe me!!!

But seriously, found this posted today, time of possession for the offenses of the top 4 QBs:
Spoiler!

I think we can just chalk it up to good defense vs bad defense. :)

I assume he knows I didn't mean they were current HOFers.

You may be correct on him assuming I meant they were the only 4, which I didn't. There's Ben, Eli will probably be lol, and Rivers has a case.

But I think it's rather obvious that those 4 have set themselves apart from the rest, yes even Dave's beloved Big Ben. He's not on the level of these guys, we all know that...does Riccio?

Only thing I can think is maybe he thought u meant Eli with Manning? Other than that he has a lol wtf nick moment

I know what it is.

He was made to be so dizzy by the time of possession screenshot zinger, he just lost all brain functions for 1 minute, just long enough to make that post.

it was a joke on the wording cause Ben is obviously a hall of famer.

and i think Ben is at least on par with Brees. there is no gap with Brees above Ben.

i also don't think time of possession proves anything in our debate. you'd have to breakdown how much they had the ball with the lead/without the lead as well. The Pats are almost always playing from ahead.

:?

We may both be biased for our guy, but Ben has 2 titles to Brees's 1 and I'm fairly certain the general consensus from most folks will NOT have Ben above or on par with Brees...because he's just not. The playoffs set them apart even more than the regular season, fwiw.

Ben on the same level as Brees?

Eye test says no!

But just because Ben looks a little, husky and non elite QBish??

Brees as well being a shrimp.
I'm so torn

i don't really know how to respond.

i've always assumed it was common knowledge Ben is the top of the top. Obviously he's not Manning or Brady but he's the next level. i'm fairly certain PFF consistently has him top 3 in year end rankings the past few years and i think he was 1 at least once. To say Brees is clearly better is certainly some homerism. to clarify, i didn't even say i thought Ben > Brees, i just said he's not on a different tier.

I don't know what you're using to determine who's better, but if its stats then we can just agree to disagree on football stuff. There is a reason sabr guys lean more towards PFF style analysis on football than trying to study basic stats.
