just finished watching this game via tivo. England who most are saying with finish Champ or runner up and we just had a draw with them. Impressed with howard, who looked great and to me was giving direction to the defenders. Im rather impressed with our team after this game.

(had a softball tourny today, i drove home this evening with the radio off so nothing could ruin me watching this game....haha)

What a terrific save and block, Australia should've had a goal there!

Wow.....Germany loves to blow teams out to start their World Cups. They look like they're going to do it again here.

Ank, you want goals....you'll get them today.

I took the under

Nobody seems to be able to score so far, despite lots of shots.

EDIT: Looks like at least ONE team has figured this ball out....I think it also helps that they have a lot of young legs. Klose is a World Cup monster and a club team failure

Wow, that is an AWFUL decision.

Australia might as well go ahead and go home--no Cahill next match, plus no Kewell? They're done.

Was that a straight red, or was because he had yellow before that. I have the sound turned down because of the fucking buzzing sound. It didn't look like it warranted a straight red card???

It was a straight red.

Germany's just doing whatever they want right now. They play such damn precise and productive football, and with a man advantage vs a team that doesn't care anymore.....it's gonna get worse.

The Germans every single WC just win games. They are prob the second most consistent team in the World Cup all time behind Brazil.

I love it.

Most nations--even the USA--mumble their national anthem, if they even open their mouths at all. Italy's roster was singing so loud you could hear it over the music and the vuvuzelas.

Forza Azzurri :D

Flop of the tourney right there thus far from the few matches i've seen. And of course it's from an Italy player.

Fucking hilarious. What a fool. He fucked up a nice run too.

....you do realize it's fucking soaking wet out there, right?

It's only a flop/dive if they do it trying to draw a foul. He just went down, didn't look to the ref, didn't complain, etc.

And seeing as TWO players yesterday (including a German, what a shock) were booked for diving yesterday, that was nothing.

What does being wet have to do with the way he fell?

You don't think trying to draw a foul from where he was would have been beneficial?

The dude from behind stepped on his foot, no doubt, but he took a dive like no other and it was while they had a run.

He was on the ground writhing in pain, and the announcer EVEN said something to the effect of, "he'll be sure to pop up on his feet in a second" LOL.

If it's not a flop, there'd be no reason to be flailing around on the ground, then magically stand up 10 seconds later without even a limp, no?

it's funny cause I know Jsence is a huge Italy fan so I automatically knew he'd be the 1st to reply and completely disagree.

The homerism is strong with this one.
