Did he blow that knee out before? Looks like some kind of previous injury with that brace.

No, he just wears those hyperwhateverthey'recalled things by Nike on both legs to help w stability since he jumps around so much. He tweaked it a tiny bit earlier in the year but nothing major.

If you get squeamish with injuries like Lattimores and McGehee's, don't open this. This is Noel's knee upon him colliding with the basket support. His season's over. I got sick when I saw it....knee injuries make me wanna vomit.

From what Patric Young (UF player who was standing right there) said about Noel essentially holding his knee in place w his hand, I'm going to guess at the absolute best case scenario, he's got a dislocated kneecap. Gary Parrish reporting that a sports medicine professional sitting courtside said he likely also tore ACL and ruptured patella tendon.

Either way, he's done for at least an entire year at this point. Question now is, will he return to UK for another season, or will an NBA team still see fit to pay him and let him rehab?

I hope so.

As much as we've benefited (and will next year) from these kids having to go one year, it's not fair to them, and it's putting them in a tough spot. Let them go straight to the pros, or they have to wait three years, just like in baseball.
