Correct, if all 3 opt out there's basicaly a 99.9% chance he goes back to Miami, I'd imagine.

Because if Lebron were leaving, Wade has no incentive to opt out and cost himself millions.


Also, I don't think it's possible for Lebron AND Melo to end up in Houston. Just 1 or the other, and even that'll take work before it could be done, with trading Lin, Asik, and a couple other smaller pieces. Then they'd have to wait to resign Parsons(if they choose to) as a restricted free agent, but they would have to sign him after they'd sign Lebron or Melo.

Houston needs help to sign anyone and Morey isn't a popular guy around the league with other GM's. its going to take some magic for him to pull it off, but he's great so I'm not doubting him.

and shel is correct. Lebron opting out doesn't really mean much, just Wade's decision.

probably figured at that point given who was left on the board he could get a similar talent in the 2nd rd that wouldn't have to be guaranteed, so he took the guy in the 1st round that he planned on taking in the 2nd round so he could stash him and not have to use the cap space.
