Next, tint, paint the garage and epoxy the floor.

Very nice!

Screw the epoxy floor and paint. You need to do something with that extension cord, that looks like spaghetti.

That extension chord is the devil.

I wasn't using it to charge or anything. I was using it for the hair dryer to warm up the glue to release the front plate.

Did you have to get a 240 charger installed for the garage?

Yes.

I guess its called a NEMA 14-50??

I get 40 amps and it charges about 29 miles an hour or so. I only charge it to about 80-90% unless i know i am going to drive more in a day. The "happy spot" by Tesla says to never let it sit near 0% and also only charge to 100% when going on trips and such.

There is a lot of debate though about the model I got. It can get a software unlocked boost of 15 more kilowatts for $3k more or something like that so it is really a larger battery and it can be charged to 100% daily technically.

For now i am listening to the Tesla guys.

How do you keep it from over-charging then? If I plug it in when I get home from work, it will likely be at 100% by the time I leave again in the morning, no?

you manually set the charge limit to what you want so there is a slider and i slide it to 90% and it gets up to that amount and then stops and a very small trickle cgarge as needed.

the app alerts me when funished among other things.

Charging at work today. See the white line next to the green? You can set where and how much to charge it to with the set charge limit. You can do this in the car or on the phone app which is what the picture is. I get 30 amps at work and 40 at home.

The phone app is outstanding. I can pre-cool the interior, vent the sunroof, update charging info and get notifications among other things.

So I only get 18-20 miles per hour versus the 25-29 at home.

When I charge at work I basically don't charge much at home giving me "free" mileage and not using my electricity which only costs about $20 a month anyways on top of my current electric bill.

I spent at least an hour talking about this thing yesterday... amazing.

0-60 in 2.5 sec. 315 miles per charge.

They will also have a Model X SUV that is 0-60 in 2.9 sec and gets 290ish per charge.

Comparable vehicles for that 0-60 performance are along the lines of a LaFerrari. Ridiculous... or "Ludicrous" if you want to go with Tesla's marketing!

I look for reasons to drive now as that quickness just sucks you in and you can't help but grin.

On the highway there isn't a spot you can't get into as there is no lag when hitting that accelerator to get it into any spot you need to and on ramps might as well now be called roller coaster launching pads.

Getting tint tomorrow finally and getting out of this fish bowl.

I have to drive to our corporate office a couple times a month and normally dread the drive as it's about 75% bumper to bumper and takes an hour and a half or so. Well it was my first time making it in the S and autopilot and confirmed the life changing future we have with autonomous driving and current state of autopilot.

It drove flawlessly the 50 miles by itself and shows how it excels in stop and go traffic the best.

Me and Adele were rocking out :)

You should put both hands behind your head and prop your feet up on the dash. You know some old lady would drop a load in her Depends.
