By my calculations, Austin Anderson is on pace for a WAR of 700 this season.

no idea what the record is, but at one point he was on pace for an almost 17 WAR
(injury jinx in progress)

I think it's 14.9 by ARod.

Brent Martin one of the top hitters in the NL the last couple seasons.
Gets a contract extension, shits the bed. Bastard.

Means nothing. You've played 13 games again Ohio, Indy, and OCD. And we're barely 1/4 of the way through the season.
Did you just complain about people making short term assessments?

Question? When sending a private message it is showing it stuck in my Outbox. Is there a reason this is not sending or is this normal?

It moves to sent when the other person reads it.

How the hell are arb estimates done? I have a player who has played roughly 60 games in the majors over the last 3 years And has a decent OPS+ and a WAR of roughly 1.0 in that time but his arb estimate is already 4.6 million? how does that work? I swear it does arb estimates off of ratings.

That player will not go into arb until there is an estimate on their contract status correct?

He's not heading to arb for like 3-4 seasons. But when you first bring a guy up usually that first arb estimate is 750k. He has 60 games under his belt and the arb estimate is already 4.6 million for that first arb hearing.

Generally speaking, yes.
But if he's good enough, he can get Super 2(I think that's what it's called)...I'm not sure how they decide who gets it, but the good, young players can become arb eligible earlier if they hit that status.
On the arb page in the offseason, those dudes are denoted with an asterisk then an explanation below of exactly what i mentioned above, probably better and more correct though lol.

Super 2 - has at least two years of major league service but less than three, AND is among the top 22 percent for cumulative playing time in the majors in this class of players (and ties), AND was on an active major-league roster for at least 86 days in the previous season. This actually adds an additional year of arbitration, so it isn't like you lose control earlier, you just pay a little more earlier.

I had a guy that went through arbitration last year that was 480k. In his arbitration he received $4.2M. He only played 25 games in 2037 so he couldn't have been Super 2 if I'm following correctly what you guys have posted.
Felipe Arteaga is the guy I'm talking about.

Have to love the way OOTP handles things.
I really hope 17 fixes a lot and that we go to it if it does.

Based on our history, I would assume that we are going to 17. I think the every 2 season rotation works well.
